Hitman Absolution Pre-Order.

I find the controls are overly complicated as well.

E to enter an air conditioning duct, SPACE to exit.

When in cover press Q to attack, then after you've subdued you need to press SPACE to exit being against the wall in order to be able to press B to pick up body (when F is pick up objects) then press E to dump body.

Any kind of attack you can just click

Hi all. what is the general concence of this game? is it a potential GOTY contender?

It isnt a terrible game in its own right. It isnt a patch on Blood Money if you enjoyed that though.

GOTY contender? no way!

Good game? Depends on what you expect from it. if you want a Splinter Cell Conviction/Assassins Creed fusion then you will most likely enjoy it.

If you want a game with lots of lovely open sandbox levels where you don't feel constantly led along by the developer, with huge amounts of freedom in how you can take out your targets, avoid.

Just one thing and another thing that annoyed me, why does he, in between a certain two levels suddenly get rid of the silenced pistol i picked up on the mission before? Did he, for whatever inane reason, suddenly decide a silenced pistol wouldnt be useful as an Assassin!? and don't tell me he ran out of space to hold it because in this game 47 can hide a sniper rifle up his butt!

The game is to inconsistent with what it deems "realism" and what what you can and can't do, in my opinion.

I am going to do a runner now, because you arent allowed to say you dont like the game in this thread :p

It has split opinion this game, just look at Metacritic's user reviews: 57 good, 54 negative and 25 mixed.

What mission would that be? Because he trades in his pistols for info.

You keep banging on about the comparison, yet you fail to explain it in any of your previous post & frankly having played both of those game I fail to see any reason to compare them, please explain it or change the record it's getting very old now.

He'll just come back with more vague comments frankly. As Mass Effect 3 has shown, the only way to get things changed is to direct your comments at the developers. Not buying the game doesn't work, moaning on random forums doesn't work. If you have a problem with the game Jono8, contact the developers with your constructive criticism.

I'm still playing through this and loving it :D

The story is massively boring though! I enjoyed in the previous games where each level was a hit, but this whole back and forth with the story is getting very annoying :(

See spoiler for which level I am...

At the bit where I'm entering the gun factory place :p

Where abouts am I in the story?

How about: If you don't like the game and you've said nothing but negative things about it since release, then just leave this thread for the people who are enjoying it. The same people who get bored of constantly seeing the same people moaning.

I'm bored of people moaning about me moaning :p

Nope, i have every right to moan about the game that i am severly butt hurt over wasting £18 on, on a public forum, dedicated to this particular game :p.

Some one simply asked whether they should buy it. I voiced my opinion.

I don't disagree that you have a right to moan, I even agree with one of the points you made about the enemies coming back to life after loading a checkpoint. However what annoys me and others is how MUCH you moan and how vague some of your criticisms and comparisons are.

Looking back at your posts in this thread, you were concerned about the game before it was even released, you read reviews but didn't cancel your order or sell your key on the MM. Ultimately, you made a choice to register your key regardless, knowing full well it wouldn't live up to your love for the previous titles. You've got no one to blame but yourself on that point I'm afraid and no amount of moaning here will get your money back.

If you were to direct your frustration towards the developers, towards Steam then you may end up getting your money back. Steam customer support is quite excellent and you've nothing to lose. You may only get the value of the game back in Steam credit, but that is better than nothing. I also seem to recall there being a recent EU court ruling that made the sale of digital used games legal, so you may have another avenue there to try.

Just completed this, i did get alittle lax towards the end and kind of lost my way, i was no silent killer.

A good game overall, i think its just good enough to make in interested in the next one..
