Homefront

I personally think this game is a great showcase for the Unreal Engine and along with Mirrors Edge, shows just how versatile the engine can be - the graphics are definitely up there with BC2 IMO.

just want to say i think its a great game really enjoying the change of pace and style in the multiplayer and was also pleasantly surprised by the first couple of levels of the singleplayer game, i didnt expect to play it at all but i might just have to carry on and see where the story goes (the opening cinematic is excellent).

So far i've really enjoyed it, Multi-Player has been poorly made, but the storyline is one of the best I have ever experienced (so far). I hope it doesn't give a bull-poo end of story like Crysis 2/CoD Blops/MW2.

Overal the graphics aren't the best, but the gameplay in my eyes is superb!

Patch Is released on steam, dedi servers are imminent as is the {SAS}Beer Drinkers Homefront server :)

I'm just wondering if I should get this game or crysis 2 - this looks more like a fully fledged MULTIPLAYER oriented game wheras crysis looks like a campaign with mp tacked on as a afterthought.

Or is the c2 multiplayer actually worth it this time around, or is it another crysis wars style gigantic waste of everyones time?

Homefront's mp is in my opinion very good, but it is not without it's flaws which have been mentioned previously in this thread. It has the potential to be a great multiplayer game and that depends on the support and what the patch does and does not fix. Their are plenty of servers to play on and some really good players to play against.

You will never know untill you buy it.

OK our server is up and running (Kaos have given us the files :) ), details are as follows.

Name : {SAS}Homefront
IP : 81.19.211.70
port : 27050

Please bare with us, I'm not 100% sure on the back end, but if you do use it, please keep in touch with any issues / requests and we will try and get a decent UK based server running.

I have this on the 360, graphics don't seem great but thats probably the xbox.

Don't particularly like the gameplay, every time I pick up a sniper the bullets seem to miss everything. the edge around some objects is a little buggy too, it's like there's a couple of inches around stuff.

Get back to the console section!

(joke :D)

so how is the MP side of this game these days, heard that the initial problems have been patched so wondering if its worth £9 ?

I downloaded the demo from steam and found 0 servers to try the game. I unticked any filters and still nothing. So I uninstalled without trying it, so not sure what the full game server situation is.

I have some issues with this game, I can connect to servers but after about 10 seconds my connection drops out and everyone is running in one direction.

I've done the masterservers and masterservers2 fixes and I've opened a plethora of ports that I found on google. Enabled telnet in windows features, but I don't know how to access telnet with my router.

Router is a bt homehub version 2. Whats odd is I downloaded the demo a while ago and had zero problems with my connection.

Also done verify game cache, it's not playing ball.

Anyone got advice other than get a better router? I'd like to add that I also had connection problems in killing floor and red orchestra 1/2 which were solved with the masterservers fix.

Cheers :)

Had another router lying around and now it works, but I get a high ping in servers.

What's the best bt adsl router? Cheap and cheerful is good. Thanks
