Homosexual Colours

It's some weird what-abouttery due to cognitive dissonance

Seems to be, at least he doesn't seem to have any examples of it when asked...

Though he's laying a trap apparently and Thekwango is jizzing in his pants in anticipation too now.

OK so to clarify then as it's not clear, where is this double standard - who has done that in this thread?

That's what I'm interested in, this is the third time I've asked and you don't seem to have an answer?

Where is the double standard? Just cut to the chase and quote the posts if you've seen some double standard here and give whoever it is a chance to clarify too.

Dis actually homed in on it with, "why is it when it comes to minority events that behaviour is acceptable from them that would not ordinarily be acceptable?". My point is that while it's not technically acceptable anywhere, it frequently is greatly tolerated almost everywhere... and in criticising one particular group instead of all those engaging in such behaviour, that is a double standard.
Whether it's Pride or Brazil Carnival, Folsom Street Fair or clubbers acting out on holiday - You either condemn or accept lewd behaviour in public across the board, or else it is a double standard.

You yourself said, "[but X thing is also bad/much worse]", to which I'm trying to point out that X thing is actually the same, so should be treated as such.

Do you think the parents that drag their kids to a 'party island' and let them watch a bunch of drunks act lewdly is good parenting?
Do you think parents that drag their kids to a pride event to watch a bunch of lgb folks act lewdly is good parenting?

I think you'd find the vast majority of people would see the 1st as bad parenting.
I think both would be bad parenting. Doesn't matter where it is, lewd behaviour is lewd behaviour.

'He' actually said no such thing. He just suggested that you weren't...

Eh? @Dis86 is literally talking about stuff that isn't tolerated. Ergo where is the double standard?

Your only example of this double standard is someone saying the complete opposite FFS! :D

Then why, in order to question it, is he asserting that it is tolerated at minority events, if it isn't tolerated as you say?

Do you really want me to cite every example of every assertion in this thread that bad behaviour is considered acceptable from one group but not another?
That will lead to lots of multiquoting, you know.....!

I think you need to re-read what he's saying he's talking about behaviour that isn't tolerated elsewhere!

Why would I want you to do that? You seem to have completely misunderstood @Dis86 's post and then claimed some opposite double standard that wasn't present.

By making the assertion that it is tolerated at minority events, yes... do go on...

My assertion was that such behaviour is tolerated elsewhere, often more so than at Pride (such as on party islands where people actually make a living from those who go there to behave that way), and that both should be equally accepted or rejected.

Why would I want you to do that? You seem to have completely misunderstood @Dis86 's post and then claimed some opposite double standard that wasn't present.
Why - Because you're clearly not satisfied with the one citation...

All colours are gay.

Even brown is gay, and I ain't seen no brown on any pride flag. That's how deep this rabbit hole goes.
