Homosexual Colours

Imagine not being able to process sarcasm.
In fact there are 3 posts there that are quite obviously facetious and I'm pretty worried that you can't perceive that.

"It's GD" isn't an excuse on this occasion. It needs to be implicit. Like you know it's Ricky Gervais and 'therefore'. But here... equally you're assuming it's sarcasm with underlying observation.

Like I say, it's pretty damn obvious. And i'm not assuming, you can read my post and the one I quoted for a start. No assumption there sunshine.

Shhhh, don't tell him. We all hate the gays ;)

Here you go... didn't even go through every page and loads of posts have been deleted by the mods. It's like older generations (in particular) saying "I'm not racist but...".

Nice broadcasting your IQ there, posting people using obvious satire and sarcasm to make humorous points, was that because there was perhaps 1 questionable post and you needed to make up the numbers or are you just that dense?

I propose that when we are taking the **** we put /russinating after the post just to let him know its sarcasm.

/russinating

Why? It's simply pointing out whataboutery - I think you're being incredibly stupid if you can't understand that. That someone hasn't condemned the behaviour of Brits abroad or whatever [insert bad thing] in a thread that has little to do with that isn't particularly relevant and doesn't represent a double standard.
So you're saying it's fine that other groups behave the exact same way and we should only slam the gays for behaving like this? Why would you give a pass to one group but not another? What is different about the gay misbehaviour that justifies it being raised as a separate issue?

No, where has anyone said that? The point was that you seem to have created this supposed double standard in your head by pointing to stuff/[bad thing] that has little relevance to the thread and the lack of commentary on it when it was you who introduced the bad thing.

You assume he's the one setting the trap...

I didn't introduce it. It was already being discussed.
My assertion is that because so many other people are doing the exact same [bad thing], it's a double standard to single out and slam just one group for something that is hardly unique or even typical of that group.
You 'seem' to be deliberately ignoring this rather straightforward concept.

lol come on. Are you honestly saying there were no rainbows before the 'gays' took it as their 'icon'? Even on kids things?

You do realise the word Gay was something entirely different before they took it as their 'word'. Now the word is unusable in its original sense because it no longer means that, because if you do use it people just assume you mean homosexual. The same thing is happening to the rainbow colours, honestly, the explanation that it means diversity and equality just doesn't wash with me. Why specifically those colours, in that order? At least I can respect the Trans flag as something that's its not trying to appropriate something that is associated with kids. Despite their activist's actions doing so.

OK so to clarify then as it's not clear, where is this double standard - who has done that in this thread?

That's what I'm interested in, this is the third time I've asked and you don't seem to have an answer?

Where is the double standard? Just cut to the chase and quote the posts if you've seen some double standard here and give whoever it is a chance to clarify too.

I feel sorry for people who's name is Gaye, I guess they are too old now and don't really care though. Many things from the past have new meanings now. I remember reading The Famous Five as a kid and thinking it was odd they were all at times feeling gay. Also drinking ginger beer which is vile. Less said about Aunt Fanny the better.

Do you think the parents that drag their kids to a 'party island' and let them watch a bunch of drunks act lewdly is good parenting?
Do you think parents that drag their kids to a pride event to watch a bunch of lgb folks act lewdly is good parenting?

I think you'd find the vast majority of people would see the 1st as bad parenting.

There was a kid at my school with the surname Gaylord, people obvs got used to it after the initial expected schoolboy reactions, but I guess still each new environment has potential for sniggers; going to uni, new employer, new hobby etc.

Well you don't hear the surname Gaylord anymore, I assume many have changed by deedpoll over the years

It's some weird what-abouttery due to cognitive dissonance
