Honest shopper thread!

accidently stole a basket of shopping from tesco's a while back, took the basket and everything, did not realise until the missus asked why there was a tesco basket full of shopping in the kitchen..

(no beer or drugs were in use at the time)

If it was a small shop and I noticed at the till, I would, and have, pointed out their mistake. If it was 10 minutes later and I was at home, probably not unless I knew the staff in the shop to talk to. If it was a big shop then it's very unlikely I would say anything.

no.

Someone is not going to lose there job because a £10 cash error. They'll get a slight word in the ear and nothing else.

if it was an OAP in a corner shop, without a doubt i would. if it was a shop like tesco or sainsburys etc haha no chance, i'd spend it with a big grin on my face

I have done in the past when someone gave me a quid more then necessary, I was at the till though and I guess it was just a normal reaction.

10 minutes have gone by?....no chance. That's mine to keep now :P

Yes.

I once even sent a letter to Ikea with a cheque when I noticed, looking at my receipt when I got home, that some things hadn't been scanned and paid for.

I got sacked from Crew Clothing last summer because I wasn't 5 minutes early everyday..........(and the manager was born from hell, she has also been sacked GET IN!)

In a much better part time job now. 7.26 an hour woop woop!!

and no I wouldn't go back, the number of till people who have given me fake 2 pound coins knowingly has driven me mad.
