Agreed man! You saved potentially 2 lives today! You should be bloody proud of yourself man, well done!

Hope they're all ok, and I hope you don't suffer too much mate :)
 
The bottom line is, you did the best you could given the circumstances. Nothing to beat yourself up about. Plenty of people just walk on by, you did the decent thing, and got stuck in.

Regardless of what the end result is, you did the right thing.

Seriously, good effort mate, I cant imagine what I would do in a similar situation, but Im not sure I'd have to the balls to put my own life at risk as you and the others around you did. Good on you. I hope the mother and child will be okay.

Seriously? I would always try to help if I could, and i assumed most people would try to help. Like he said, water 5-6ft so not too risky unless there were currents or something, i think i would try to help. I've saved someone from drowning before :cool:

Well done for the rescue attempt. But am I right in thinking the woman was underwater for 30minutes? If so it's a shame, but I think her brain might be dead due to lack of oxygen.
 
Good effort man.

Sounds like you saved the kid's life, just being realistic but it doesn't sound promising for the woman, just have to hope for the best.

It's easy to say I'd do the same if faced with the same situation but you can never tell until it's staring you in the face.

This man speaks the truth. The pressure needs to be equal on both sides on the door before you will be able to open it or brake a window.

Sadly, most people die in situations like this as it take too long for the car to completely fill with water. Boot included.

You saved a kid and possibly the mother too. No need to hit the bottle other than for a drink to try to cheer yourself up. The only way to try to open a door that hasn't equal pressure either side is possibly to key it in both diagonals and try to break it. But it might not work as the glass isn't normal glass. Still, stress concentrations should help you break it even if underwater punching.

You did a great thing today *massive thumbs up smilie*


Now to bring it down to the usual OCuK GD standard, pics with bread ? :p :)
