hose pipe ban - ideas on cleaning car

well this is going to suck. my car is always faster when its clean, i dread to think how slow it will be after not washing it for months on end

i estimate it takes approximately 4 mins to fill a bucket with the hose.

i estimate i could rinse the car in 2 mins using a hose.

if i used a bucket to rinse the car, it would take 3-4 buckets.

a watering can would work well, but rinsing it with a bucket surely cant be a good idea.

i also do not beleive that that many people out there wash their cars that regularly. both my neighbours never seem to wash their and 90% of the cars out there look like utter heaps that never get washed

Use a bucket - it takes 1.5 buckets to clean a car, first soapy for the wash down, second clean for the leathering off, then use that water to wash the wheels (if yuo have alloys) and its all done, spangley clean and very economical with the water :)

Solution: Don't wash the car, quite simple.

Ok deal , as long as someone pays for my paintwork when it starts to go rusty / manky :)

Ill be washing my car as normal but ill just use 5 or 6 buckets of water
