How about a Linux gallery?

Definitley have it enabled (check box on cube). I can do ctrl-alt up arrow to enable the window preview thing but no cube.

You can check what key combo it uses by goign into the config and Clicking Actions Tab.

You need both Cube, and rotate cube enabled. I also have it set to rotate on mouse wheel up and down on the desktop.

I don't get the option to assign different buttons from my settings menu

In Compizconfig settings manager every plugin has a Tab for Actions. It is here you can discover what the keys or action required to activate the plugins are. Also you can change them.

Look at this screenie. I clearly have CTRL+ALT+BUTTON1 set as the command to allow me to spin the Cube.

Finally got Compiz fusion working with the latest ati drivers :D

please let me know how you got this working with ati drivers?

Oh I have an x1800 I believe this is incompatible right?

Ive got a 1950pro, the latest Ati drivers fixed it for me (being stuck in mesa for months is no fun)
This is for Ubuntu 7.04 :)
I used this guide to install the Ati drivers (you'll have to replace the driver versions to the latest)
http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ub...#Method_2:_Install_the_8.38.7_Driver_Manually
then this to install compiz
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=488385
but changed the repo for this one
deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/3v1deb feisty eyecandy-amd64

Got it working after a bit of tweaking, hope that helps :)

I found it easier to use the closed drivers off the repository and then use restricted-manager to make sure they were being used. Never had a mesa problem since.

I got compiz working btw, seems not all the packages had installed but it's all sorted now. I'll post a pic when I get a chance.
