How bad is your hearing?

17Khz for me if I turn the volume up high enough.... It starts to roll off at 15Khz for me.
This test is not realy very good it onl picks on the high pitched sounds the human voice is in the lower range of sounds

While the male human voice can be as low as 100Hz, "s" sounds can be quite high frequency.

Also being able to hear sounds higher and lower then the human voice is beneficial.

EDIT: I'd be careful when doing this test with headphones... Even non audible sounds can cause damage.

Just for what it's worth, make sure the little volume control to the left of the play button is fully turned up. I can hear them all very clearly now as mine wasn't completely turned up.

Don't up the volume if you can't hear higher pitches folks. It's still a loud noise and you can still damage your hearing with it, even if you can't hear it.

Many headphones and speakers will roll off before you get to 20khz. Check your equipment specs as well as your ears.

Indeed. I had no problems with my semi-decent Sennheiser headphones, but I wouldn't fancy my chances if I was doing the test on, say, a netbook with el cheapo speakers.

Heh. In fact, I've just checked the specs for my Sennheiser CX-300 II headphones and the frequency response only goes up to 21KHz. No wonder I couldn't hear anything at 22KHz!

was on a flight from Paris to Dublin 7 years ago and I felt this almight pain near landing, I was nearly in tears. I got off and couldn't hear anything out of my left ear so I tried unblocking my ear the whole way home but nothing. Went to the docs a week later and they said that my ear drum had been perforated. I had an operation and I was suprised at how much better my hearing was but I know it's not 100%.

I will have a go at this test later but no doubt the results will probably be shocking :)
