Ours are stored in a basket on our kitchen worktop. Where so you keep yours - refrigerated or worktop/larder/pantry?

Supermarkets don't store them in a fridge ;)

Possible poll maybe?

Cheers - Quink :)

Use to keep them in the fridge but then as you say, the supermarkets or the cornershop don't.

I now keep them in my kitchen cupboard.

I actually keep mine in the fridge. Old habit I suppose. Stupid really as a cold egg breaks easier when you crack it.

If your not supposed to keep them in the fridge, why do all fridges come with egg racks?

They even say refridgerate after purchase.

But the supermarkets don't store them in a fridge, even when the eggs are only a day from the 'sell before/best before' date, so why should you?

Our eggs come from our local butcher and he sure as hell doesn't store them in a fridge :)

I never said I did :p

Just saying what it says on the box :p

Always keep mine in the fridge, not sure why but i just do. Notice they always crack when putting them in boiling water. Hmmm think form now on i may just keep them out....

Ours almost never crack when slinging them into boiling water - makes dippy eggs and soldiers a thing to enjoy :)

Fridge, no idea why, as said I have never seen them refrigerated in shops. Doubt my wife would come round to storing them elsewhere so in the cool box they stay

Out of the fridge.

I read the same thing Jonny said. Not sure where I read it (On Food and Cooking? Not sure, will check tomorrow.)
