How Does Redex Work?

1. Redex is pointless nowadays, petrol contains detergents

2. Slow down from 70mph to 65 that will make a difference, you only have a small engine in it and it does not have tall gearing, as its designed for town use, stop start.

I wouldn't say pointless. Every time I used it on my old bike it'd smooth out the idle nicely. Granted it had carbs and they were probably a little clogged, but still the stuff isn't pointless.

Use it on my bikes every few tanks. But petrol cars, I don't bother.

Diesel however, every few tanks again. I filled my 330d up for the 3rd time on Friday (always do from fuel light to brim) and poured an entire bottle in. It's about 25% too much, but it's not volatile nor damaging stuff if too much is put in.

It helps a lot on diesel engines.

Better off buying premium diesel
