Anyone commuting less than 10 miles in a car, take the bike you lazy individuals! Should only take half an hour to cycle ten miles.
Cons: can take longer, you can get drenched / sweaty / run over by a lorry.
Benefits: health and fitness, fresh air exposure, feel better, reduce petrol fumes entering the environment thereby improving Britain's air quality, save a fortune on petrol, beat the traffic especially in cities, arrive at work feeling more chilled, refreshed and energised to face the day ahead!
18 Miles to Dudley
18 Miles home![]()
Change that into will take longer, even in the city center with all the lights, a car is far faster. I have better things to do than commute 45 minutes to uni by bike rather than 10-15 mins by car ( like stay in bed and sleep 30 mins longer).
All available statistics for London state that as untrue. I don't know what city you're referring to but certainly in central London, it's quicker...fact.
And having to eat more...wtf? Are you saying people shouldn't exercise as then they have to eat more food? Just lol.

Snowdog, are you underweight or something? I cycle between 200 and 400 miles a week and I struggle to loose weight, I'm stuck at around 11.5stone but that's a fine weight for me.
I used to drive 40 miles either way, normally taking about 45 minutes each journey.
I now walk to work, taking about 8 minutes door to door![]()
I don't know why people put up with it and don't demand some sort of new underground road network ( willing to pay tax for specifically that) such as in Boston. It's a shame London is crippled by such slow transport that cycling is faster.
Fast legs you've got there mate![]()
