How fast can i go for 1500 quid?

Another for the Rover.

Get any old body (scrapper) but with a good engine... should cost a couple of hundred for a 620. Spend the rest on suspension and engine mods... bigger turbo, intercooler and a few other bits should see you around 230bhp and 6.something to 60.

Mine (fairly standard) will do 135mph without thinking about it. It'd do more but I've never had the bottle to take it further. They go off the clock easily enough.

Rover 220 Turbo or a 620ti.

A lot of the other stuff mentioned sounds quite heavy and may be quite expensive to maintain and run.

a vote for a 220 turbo here, just helped a mate rebuild his - and ****, it's quick. (only cost him £300 to buy too) but ive seen running ones for about 1k on bay.

Have to add the Prelude 2.2 VTEC, Gen 4, should be able to get a decent example for £1500.

0-60 = 6.7s
140+ mph

An everlasting smile when you hit 5000 rpm ;)

That the Coupe with the noisy head? Did you get to the bottom of that in the end?

Any mods to it? :)

It's just... saying that a standard Rover Turbo is anything other than 'ok' on here will get you lynched by this lot ;)

i drive a fiat cinquecento, i don't really have much time for people that'll just have a pop because any sorta stigma attached to a particular brand or model..

ended up taking the head off again on the rover, and getting the exhaust manifold skimmed so it'd seal back on properly. most of the noise was that leaking, and tightening it in situ just damaged the threads. not 100% on the mods on it, but its most definetly been lowered, runs uprated brakes (whole set from an MG ZT i believe), hybrid turbo, lightened flywheel. then stuff like turbo timer, full leather interior taken from a rag top i assume? its not 100% setup perfectly yet, but can easily do double the motorway speed limit..

id get a crx or an EF civic vti for that price.

ok not mega quick but they handle on rails wheigh not much much and have 150hp and VTEC!
