Just tried again in CS3. Also upped the memory allocation to %70 as I had forgotten last time as its a new system and thats where I've always set the memory in the past.SilverPenguin said:I just had a go as I built a new pc yesterday (first new pc in 5 years!) so thought it would be fun to see what its like.

In photoshop go to the preferences and you'll see in there a memory allocation section in one of the options. On windows photoshop is set to %55 of the pc's memory by default. You can use a slider to change this to any amount you want but you need to make sure you leave some for the OS. I have always found %70 to be a good balancemorgan said:can you explain this? am i missing a trick?!
