How long is your commute?

20 mile, depending on what time i goto work or come home will make the journey 30 mins or longer.

Erm, well there are three ways, most take about 15 minutes.

However, one cross country route can be down to 8 minutes if you drive like a loony but it costs a hell of a lot of petrol, I figured it to be about 12MPG. :p

But I think my dad wins so far:

Tomorrow he is going up to York, will work until about 7. Then he is off down to Kent. He will work a day in Kent then come back up to Derby from about 7. Then on Wednesday he will go back down to Kent, then come back up again on Thursday. Then on Friday he does sweet FA.

Thats about normal I think. (But he is contracting so gets paid his rate for driving)

My commute is 26 miles each way by car. Normally takes 40-45 mins in the morning and 50-55 mins in the evening.

Since the start of the year I've been leaving about 10 mins earlier and I get to work about 30 mins earlier and its a lot more pleasurable drive and it looks good with the boss :p

22 miles door to door.
Depending on which people who are just treading water till they die get in my way, it can be as little as 20 minutes, as many as 45 on the way home..

I communte 40 miles each way. Takes about an hour in the morning and about 45 minutes getting home (95% of the journey is motorway driving on the M1).

Leave home at 7.15am and get home at 7pm.

Great innit!

God dam, that would leave me with no time in the night! How do you survive? Say 4 hours a night of spare time? :o

I'm the same...little spare time on weekday nights. It means I tend to do nothing at weekends and just relax/chill out.

0.8 miles from driveway to the carpark. Add an extra 0.1 of a mile cruising the carpark to see which Managers are in before getting parked up.

It's also a less then 10 min walk :)

However my argument stands: It's cold, wet often rains at the moment and I don't feel very well.

Ergo I'll start walking as soon as I see the sun come out a little more :|

My Commute varies - I work in a lot of different schools throughout the week. The furthest single drive is almost 60 miles which can take up to two hours if the traffic is really bad. The shortest is just a smidge over 25 minutes.

But I do a lot of driving during the day as well, e.g. on Thursdays, I'm in Andover, then Basingstoke, then Newbury, doing an hour and a half at each site.

All in all, I do about 500 miles a week for work, which works out at a bit over £70 fuel every week, multiplied over the school year should be about £3000 (not including personal mileage).

When I used to go to uni it was a 60 mile drive ~ 45 - 90 minute drive by car.

Currently a 10minute drive in the car :)
