Hi, i have a MK4 ST and its due a service, first once since i've owned it. Can anyone recommend any Ford specialist garages in the Leicestershire / Nottinghamshire area. Someone that can update Fords Digital Service Log and i can maintain my warranty. I'd rather not take it to a Sandicliffe based on multiple bad past experiences. Thanks

It was recommended I join the owners group on Facebook and its been a font of knowledge for various things and with members all over the country, you get the benefit of local knowledge.

Joined the Focus ST club. Definitely a large jump in performance and spec from the MK7 Fiesta ST.

Picked up this evening so not had a chance to get some decent pics so brightly lit handover area pics will have to do for now.

Nice, just make sure you press the S button for a little bit extra. I have a Mk4 ST also with a Mk4.5 on order. There's a load of us on Facebook in the Mk4/4.5 ST owners group if you want to look us up. https://www.facebook.com/groups/522413018593725

A few years ago i looked at changing my Mk3.5 Focus ST for the new Mk4 ST but they were crazy prices (30+k :()
A huge price jump over the mk3.5 price that i wasn't willing to pay

That was the main reason that I ended up buying an I30N (previous two cars were mk3 Focus ST's). Now the prices of these new has jumped up ludicrously as well! What to get now at the end of the year to replace the Hyundai (3 year PCP)?

Though I do like the mk4 Focus ST, especially in that lovely orange colour.

Love that!

How is it to drive?

Great, very firm but well damped, puts the power down well even in the cold/wet and if it's not in sport mode it just feels like a normal Focus which is what I was after.

Yeah, they're very expensive but very well specified. When you've got dealers asking up to 22-24k for MK3.5s the jump isn't massive. Not that they'd give you anything like that on trade in...

Before I bought my Mk4 ST, I looked at the i30N, but the GMFV meant that although the overall car price was lower, the monthlies were pretty much the same.

I hadn't planned to keep the car at the end of the 3 years at the time, however I'm now probably going to refinance the balloon figure and keep it.

Come the end of this month I will have had my Mk 3.5 for 5 years. It's a nice enough car, but I don't feel that I've ever really gelled with it.

I'm very tempted with a new Golf R but would consider an Mk 4 ST if I like it on a test drive.

Criticism of the MK3.5 seems to stem from it not being able to stick the power down, MK4 fixes this with the electronically controlled LSD. I haven't driven a MK3.5 so can't really compare the two. The difference between normal and sport mode is quite noticeable , from throttle response to steering and suspension. My MK7 Fiesta ST was a bit tiresome if I wasn't in the mood, but that's just me getting old.

Adding pics from show us your motors - it's absolutely filthy now :(

My white one looks filfthy after a day at this time of year.

I had a Mk3.5 from 2015 to 2018. I found the nose a bit heavy, but I missed the Focus so much after I switched to a Mk8 Fiesta ST, I grabbed a Mk4 in late 2019. Love the jekyll and hyde nature you get with the driving modes. It's my daily commute car and other than the torquey lazy diesel like engine I love, it can otherwise just chill out like a normal focus when I'm not in the mood.

Thought i would drop this in here might be of interest to you Ford guys.
A mate in work has won a Focus RS 500 with only 19k miles on the clock.
He was offered 50K or the car.He has taken the car and plans to sell it as it's valued at up to 100k

up to 100k

I'll preface this by saying i'm ignorant of their pricing, however that's the key bit from your quote.
I would be surprised if any Focus is ever worth that much money (though i'm probably wrong), I would have taken the cash.

Edit: should have searched first i guess, a dealer seems to be selling a 5k mile one for £85k, I wonder if they'll actually get that and if that's overly inflated because of the current used car market

That 5 pot Volvo is the best sounding engine Ford have ever used in a Focus ST. The mk2 is already modern classic. I think 100k might be a reach but it doesn’t surprise it’s worth more than 50k for the run out edition with low mileage.

I was sceptical myself but after a google found similar prices.I think there were only 100 RHD cars released in the UK so they are rare.
A lot of them kept in garages waiting to be sold some day maybe for that 100k
