How many Focus ST owners on here

I was sceptical myself but after a google found similar prices.I think there were only 100 RHD cars released in the UK so they are rare.
A lot of them kept in garages waiting to be sold some day maybe for that 100k :eek:

Aye it's good fortune whatever happens, i'd just take that price with a pinch of salt and be happy with anything north of £50k.
Not sure i'd want to deal with all the people that will want to come see it either, could be a rank job!

I think I'd want one of the specialist collector auction houses/sellers to do it. Even with their cut way better than all the time wasters just wanting to drive it if you tried to sell privately.
 
I bought my ST225 around 3 years ago as standard with 60k on the clock, then fitted an Airtech IC, downpipe back exhaust (inc decat) and mapped it.
The only reason i got the thing is because i'd sold my previous car and asked the guys in the workshop what i should buy next, they said an ST, so that was that.
Sadly i've only opened the door on it once in the last 6 months and it's been gently decomposing on my driveway ever since, as i use either my bikes or the company van, but..
I handed my notice into the AA yesterday, so the van will be gone and i'll use the ST once more :D

I had the same on a 56 plate, took a lot of cosmetic tweeks to my facelift mk2.5 to get me happy with how it looked whereas the pre-facelift was there pretty much from the off.

I just added side stripes plus had the grilles and foglamp surrounds painted satin black, but kept the trim surrounds silver.

One of the rare occasions where a pre-facelift ages better than the revised model.
 
Had a chance to test drive a manual Focus ST with performance pack today. As my mate is considering putting down an order for a new one shortly.

It was a Magnetic Grey in colour and it looked alright. The seats are proper nice compared my ones in my R. More hugging.

Feels plenty quick once going and grips well, however it does torque steer a bit when on it.

When track mode is selected, it has nice pops and bangs on the exhaust.

Not bad at all but ticket price is high. However there are big discounts to be had if you are on the Ford privilege / ambassador schemes.
 
They are expensive and the lease costs aren't great, explains why you see so many Golf Rs and hardly any other MK4 STs.

You can get in one for about £250 per month over 38 months with about £7K down with 2 of the 3 performance pack selected. Which is pretty reasonable considering. However there is also at least a 6 month wait for one as they quoted when we enquired.
 
When I bought my Mk4 it had the cheapest monthlies of all the competitors, including the i30N.

I don't find torque steer an issue, obviously this time of year you can't expect to put the full power down, but the e-diff does a great job, much better than the mk3.
