How many lesson's/hr's did it take you to pass?

About 25 hours.

That's having never driven a car before my first lesson (which was on Friday 13th incidentally) and not driving in between lessons.

25ish, though I can't believe how rubbish I was when I started off, don't think I had grapsed the whole what actually was happening inside etc.

having the same sort of thing myself i dont prepare fast enough for junctions etc and still grasping the gears but afterall it was my first lesson :)

Ditto.

God I was an awful driver when I first passed though and theres always room for improvement so remember when you pass, you are always gaining driving skill and experience.

12 lessons took test but failed, 1 hour before next test and passed
no driving outside the lessons , but had been on the road for 15+ years on a motorcycle.
only took my car test because i had to have a car license for my job

did you have any practice outside of lessons  im just waiting to get a car sorted out then i can practice a lot more
i lied, it was 5 paid for lessons with an instructor.

i had a lil fiesta diesel at the time, i would drive absolutely anyone who needed a lift anywhere just so that i could get a bit more practice. My sis was still at home then too, hence i could practice with either her, my mum or dad.

birthday is 8th April. i got the licence on the 14th May.

its pretty much the only thing in my life that i have taken seriously, no kidding! :p

5 lessons and pass on my first test :D

Did well over 1000-2000kms of driving on my Ls with either my mum or my sister in the car though so that would have helped :)

Am I the only person who hasn't got a clue? I see people mention on here quite frequently how many lessons they had but at the time it really didn't occur to me to keep count.

Ive had about 30 hours so far but I did have a break for a year and get a new driving instructer - im not a natural!

I'm with you. No idea how many actual lessons I had although it wasn't many.

Did a lot of driving with my mum though in the car I ended up taking the test in (my own).
