How much is your insurance?

530 pound tpft, 18 with 2 years no claim on an sv650.

Regarding your question about 33bhp restriction. I have my sv650s k2 model restricted. The restriction works by a metal plate washer going between the engine and the carb. The bike copes with it really well, and had no problems with it other than im too tall for it.

Its a really good bike, I do reccomend it for a restrictor/first bike rider like your self. Easy to maintain, average 140 miles to the tank, cheap insurance and parts are easily source-able. You dont notice the restrictor unless your on motorways/dual expressway. If your tall (Im 6ft 2), I wouldnt reccomend it as your knee caps become very sore due to the stress thats being put on them. The engine braking is also a problem for some users compared to inline 4 bikes.

Hope this helps in anyway.

Just renewed mine the other week. It went up by over £40 this year, hunted around everywhere but no-one else was cheaper.

29yrs old, 8 years NCB, 05 R1 in locked shed with alarm and stuff. Wife is on the policy but she has 2 accidents under her name. £216 TPFT, but thats with breakdown cover, riding other bikes and euro travel too. Oh yeah, I got 15 months insurance, not 12.

£320 TPFT on a Hornet CB600 F4, 1 year NCB, 21 years old. I'm happy with that :D

Paddock stand better arrive tomorrow so I can sort the back disc & ride it!

£400 YZF-R125, 24, 3NCB, 1 accident. Just done a quick MCE quote hypothetically for next year, came up as £366 :S will have to have a better look when I actually need to renew next year, bit of a ****take paying that much for a 125 with 4 years experience IMO.
