Absolutely. If £1200 GPU is called victory, then those who lost are the consumers not AMD.
Well they've lost me, AMD cards are just far better value, especially when paired with FREE SYNC, as GSYNC is just another NV ripoff. I started off building exclusively green systems years ago, now it's the other way around and i'll go AMD/FREESYNC and will support AMD buy buying Ryzen as well next time around.
NV have simply exploited their customers, knowing full well that high end 'enthusiasts' will pay any price.
I have that feeling at the moment. I dont expect to upgrade now for a long time after doing a major one this year but I expect the next round of nvidia cards to be the same price if not more than the RTX series now. If AMD get it right in next couple of years they could seriously hurt nvidia as there is now a massive gap in pricing that could be exploited with the right card at the right price. With my current monitor there are a few minor issues I have noticed with pixels that do not bother me at the moment but I wouldnt be surprised if in a few years time my next monitor and GPU is on the AMD side. Cheaper too. Lets hope AMD come back at Nvidia like they did with Intel.
AMD are not out of the running whatsoever. If their previous strategy is anything to go by they will release a GPU that will be 90% of the performance for 50-60% of the price. Consumers benefit from competition and its just the narrow minded that discount AMD cards vs Nvidia.

Funny that, I use the same procedure.

Side note - I had a standard 1080p monitor when I got my vega56. Decided to buy a freesync monitor and what a difference. People can espouse Intel and 5.0Ghz all they want, but when you have a card and screen that syncs then there's no need for a 5.0 cpu. The screen is butter smooth gameplay with a lesser CPU, but using freesync. You'd be hard pushed to tell what CPU I had when gaming.
You may mock Jim @AdoredTV but he knows his stuff. Usually well thought out and back up with figures and links.
Did you just assume his gender? :O
Do you think if the RTX2080Ti was £3200 people would still buy it?
Snap...Funny that, I use the same procedure.
