How to getthe best out of Octopus Flux

Yeah same, not been as smooth as I expected, that and they ask for emails, expect a reply within a few hours, i've sent a couple over the last week, as I'm not in a mega rush and not received a response to any of them. It's almost like it's too difficult so left in the pile.

Unfortunately email like many places is now the slowest method of response.
The best is twitter. They are pretty awesome over twitter I find. I got my missing bill resolved in a couple of hours on a bank hol over easter and will get responses to other stuff quickly as well.

If you have twitter suggest you try that.

Indeed, usually pick up the phone, but they ask for emails and give a blurb about it being their most efficient and quickest to resolve/reply then they don't respond. Don't advertise it if you can't deliver on your promise. Will pick up the phone tomorrow, end of the day i'm losing out on a few quid with the weather as it's been.

I just e-mailed Octopus this morning and they responded in 45 minutes, with a response to my follow up e-mail 15 minutes after that (admittedly a simple request for a credit refund, rather than anything complicated).

The app is showing exports, but currently it can't put a value against imports or exports.

Octopus watch isn't yet showing the exports, although it shows the rates, and at the bottom of the last 7 days it shows export 0
Thats were i find the other app i now got good, cause it has all my octo accounts in there for gas, export and import and tells me overall costs if i combine them in the graph data...... on Octo Aid. The import also includes the standard daily charge.

So for april im now currently in credit and cant see that going back into debit for the summer. It will just keep going green i hope

Folks, is there anyway of checking whether my export flux is now live? Was already on octopus and had email confirmation today my 'switch' was complete. Can't see anything on the account page

My elec is pretty much always there 7.30 or so am when i log on, gas usually about 9am. I think my export lines up with my elec but its only been a week

I wonder which suppliers people were with who think Octopus are slow? When I was with BG it took days to arrive at times when suddenly 3-4 days would appear then a random gap of 0-4 days before any more would arrive.

I use the Bright App, which gets the data from the DCC, it currently shows 30 minute values up to 5:30am this morning (there will be no grid draw after that), to my surprise Octopus app is showing a little for today, 0.44kWh compared to Bright which shows 14.796kWh. Octopus normally lags more than that, and often has holes in the gas data, where Bright doesn't.

I suspect that Octopus does batch updates, it does have circa 5 million customers data to process, although not all will be on smart meters.

My bright app doesnt show any data after 1:30am and sometimes takes until the next day to catch up with the info.

im in contact with bright owners hildebrand right now as i bought a solar monitoring system from them, which wont connect to the wifi and when it finally did, it got zero data from the ct clamps around my solar inputs and main electric feeds. So bright aint the best either, i think big data dumps are an issue for all companies, especially as we are an impatient bunch and want info upto the second lol
