*** How to obtain a bike license ***

It must be something to do with being able to see an obstacle in front of a bike from behind, whereas a car blocks that view so needs to indicate?

I doubt you'd get docked points for indicating though if you are actually indicating doing something. Obviously indicating when you're not doing anything will lose you marks.

Good point. I think this weekend I'll just do everything and anything the instructor tells me to and hopefully that'll get me through it

That's the reason I was given by my instructor.

That's what you pay them for!

I'm getting excited about the training. Not so the actual test haha.

Just came across 2 bikes on Gumtree. One seems great but high millage and the other seems too good to be true. Can I post them for some opinions?

As long as the bike has service history and is in good condition it shouldn't be too hard to make the choice, make sure you do a proper HPI check, don't use the £2 ones, you're far better off doing the £8.99 one as you get info about MOT history, finance attached or any colour changes etc.

Nope :p

Though I think I have found a winner which is in Bristol and only a few miles away from me. Caveat being it was once stolen however looks in good condition. Depending how I do tomorrow I'll go view it and potentially buy it.

Speaking of tomorrow, excited? I'm bricking it and don't think I'll pass but I'll give it my best shot, that's for sure. My instructor says there is no reason I shouldn't pass as long as I don't do something which I haven't even done in my training.

Plus this horrible weather isn't making it any easier!

Maybe you'll get bonus points for the weather? Before my car test (not really relevant :p), the weather was crap whole week, as soon as I had my exam it was nice and sunny all day. :D

Give it your best man.
I'm bricking it for my re-take of MOD 1, no idea why as I have already do.e it on a 125. Hopefully I'll pass and do my Mod 2 Wednesday.

The weather in Nottingham is going to be dry, perhaps windy though!

Good luck!! :)

You've done it before, you'll be fine! You know the score - don't rush it and try not to make silly mistakes

I passed the MOD1 with one minor. :D Yay!

Roll on MOD2 tomorrow! I'm not feeling that ready at the moment for it though, hopefully that will change by the end of today. :)

Well, what a pleasant surprise. Passed Mod 2 with only 2 minors! pretty chuffed with that. Apparently at the end of the test I had a face full of thunder as I was certain I failed!

I was a bag of nerves before the test and then once I was out on the road I started to actually enjoy it until at the very end I stalled and in my panic forgot to indicate as i excited a small roundabout. At that point I thought I killed me chances!

Can't stop grinning. Might even have a bike before the weekend too!

edit:

I would actually like to thank everyone who frequents this area of the forum. Before I joined here biking was always in the back of my mind and I never really went for it but I genuinely do believe that I really got the push into biking from this section of the forum. So yes, big thank you, Everyone :)
