I have a Sapphire 7850 with no overclock from factory (Of course, I have it overclocked)
I ran it 1200/1375 @ 1.225v (Not the best overclock, but, well, you may as well give tips about that). As I was getting occasional driver hanging, I turned it down to 1100/1375 @ 1.225v, which was stable... until I rebooted my PC
With either of those clocks, 9 times out of 10, when I logged in I get a black screen. Sometimes it's just explorer.exe hasn't started up (Not hard to fix), but mostly it's a crash that I need to force shutdown to fix.
Now's the confusing bit - those clocks can be applied when I've actually logged in, and it'll work fine, with no crashing at all, however if it's those clocks at boot it just doesn't log in, giving me the aforementioned black screen.
I've got it running at a definitely stable 900/1200 @ 1.138v (My card's stock), as it doesn't have the same problem. Anyone have assistance?
(I'm using the display driver in the 12-4 set, if you need any more information just ask)
