How to overclock a 7850 past 1050MHz?

Mine as it is, temps in heaven are 55-57°c.

Not sure why the heaven screenshot is showing a mix of my onboard and 7850.

Hi,

I got my 7850 a while ago and I over clocked and everything was successful.
I was getting 1250mhz everything seemed fine and I had profiles set up in GPU Tweak.

The other day I installed 12.7 Beta Drivers and the New caps and ever since then I haven't been able to over clock past the CCC limits?

I went and got the two missing .DLL files and put them into the Sys folders and the GPU tweak folders and still locked in place by GPU tweak.

When I click the profile in GPU Tweak i can see it go to 1250 like it was doing for weeks for about 1 second then it just jumps down to the CCC limits?

Is there anything that got reset or anything after I updated drivers?

Also overclocking range enhancement is enabled I tried turning it on and off and didn't make a difference?

Anyone else have a similar issue or know what I am doing wrong?

Mine is now at:

1150 Core
1300 Memory
1.149 volts

Looped it through heaven 3 times last night and played TDU 2 for a while at max settings it ran sweet as a nut (my old 6870 struggled on TDU). Temps in heaven reached 60 -63°c at full load.

your screenshots seem a little wierd to me m8, your card is outperforming my 7950/i7 setup and according to heaven its all being done on your internal intel HD gfx lol and that 3dmark 11 score is very high for your setup/clocks, not sure i believe you.

Honestly not sure why its showing the internal GPU and not showing the 7850, I even have the internal disabled in device manager. Could not find a setting in heaven to check and cant seem to find an answer on the web.

Maybe if i uninstall and reinstall it might help.

EDIT: That didnt help either, anyone know what it might be as when I am running heaven its showing the clocks I have in the afterburner OSD.

I had this problem too mate. The solution I found was to disable the Internal IGP in the BIOS.

Try it out and see if it works.

Doesnt explain why you are getting same score as a 7970 overclocked, that must be impossible on a 7850

Had a look in the bios and the options I had were:

Auto
Enable always
Enable only if no ext in PEG slot

Chose third one and rebooted and it still shows, so doing that and diasbling in device manager didnt help. :(

Built a system for a mate over the weekend, MSI 7850 Rwin Frozr 3 OC, installed Asus GPU Tweak and clocked it to 1200/1800 at 1.2v (12.7beta), ran Heaven 3.0 and got 60fps on the OcUK 1920 default settings, card never went above 58ºc in either benchmarking or gaming. The 7850 is without doubt the best card this year for enthusiasts not afraid of +mhz.

I've just bought a 7850, and I plan on putting it into a BitFenix Prodigy case which I bought last week (Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw £10 off on here and free delivery ), and was just wondering if anyone has done the same?

If so, what kind of overclock are you getting out of it?

I'm going to be running it with an i3-2120 and B75 motherboard.

I think I've got the MSI Twin Frozr OC model (I think that's with the Twin Frozr III) - is that an okay model in terms of overclocking? I've started making my way through this thread but haven't found anything on it in particular.

Do you have to use a certain version of the Asus GPU Tool to unlock voltage? Im still running Afterburner version 2.1 but im thinking of maybe giving this ago as im stuck on the 1050mhz afterburner limit
