How to overclock a 7850 past 1050MHz?

Very tempted by the MSI card, has anyone seen a review that isn't junk?
(actually taken it past 1050)

I'll also need a new PSU unless 18.5A can handle it ... 32A total over 2 rails

Hey guys, just want to know if anyone of you guys have encountered any hard-lock up grey screen's of death? Similar to this image:

It is very intermittent. I re installed Catalyst 12.4 to see if it will make a difference. Will try and re produce.

Got that when I pushed the memory clock too far on my 7850
Just retired one of my 5770's as it was constantly doing it even at stock.

can anybody help me with the trixx setting

"Board Power Li"

What is that and what number must i take it to get best performance in overcloking...

iam now on Sapphire 7850 OC@1150@5680 with Stock volata and Board Power Li on 0...

must i rauise the numer to +50 to get more performance or what ist this...

and next question... make a vcore of 1.225 makes it more stability in memory or ddoes it make no effect ?

----

the screen with this lines comes the first time now in diablo 3 by 1450 Memclock so i get lower to 1420 and see.... this Crash costs me one Monk in Hardcore Diablo 3-.- Monk Killed by Graphic Card...

LI overrides the cards TDP limit for 7 Series AMD cards. When set to zero, the board will throttle core speed when more than 130W is pulled. Setting LI to 20 raises the bar by ~20%, allowing for greater overclocks before throttling.

So long as your card remains below 80degrees, set it to 20 if overclocking.

So after a week of struggling (not really knowing what I was doing) I got the following results, though I could have raised it higher I was fine settling at that core speed. However I can't really raise the memory clock past 5000, regardless of how high I set the voltage. If I drop the core speed to stock and raise the voltage, I can't really get higher than 5300 on my memory. Am I just overclocking incorrectly? No matter what voltage I set it at I can't come remotely close to 1200/5800 (1200/5300 @ 1.3 wouldn't work...) Any help would be appreciated!

Does someone know if gfx card's warranty is affected by after-market cooler install?

Another question is how does DSR/14 day return work with OCUK? I presume I would need to pay the postage for unwanted return- if the card works perfect but doesn't OC to my liking I mean.

Yes it will void warranty, big print on the back of the HIS 7850 box stating this (im not sure if EVGA allow this????) and yes you would have to pay for return postage if you wanted to return the item under DSR

It's a case of if you can put the stock cooler back on the card in a way that it looks like its never been removed, they will never know. After all, the main reason they say it'll pillage your warranty is so that you'll buy a more expensive model from them with their expensive cooler fitted instead.

Obviously if the damage to the card has been caused by installation/operation of the after market cooler then you're on your own.

To be honest it doesn't look to be one of the better overclockers!!!!!

Can someone tell me what the fancy PWM and military grade capacitors do on the TF4 as it looks to be overclocking the same as a vanilla 7850

Still luck of the draw it would seem, the TF3 at £179.99 deal of the week seems to be the smart choice at the minute
