How'd you meet your current GF?

I used to work in a nightclub and i used to give my number out on a regular basis.

My now wife cane in one night and thats where we met

I hope she's not Mrs! Not yet anyway. No, average size, brown hair. My other friends Miss Heather and Miss Skinner taught there for a while too.
 
I don't know any of them then lol! I didn't go to Frideswide, so I don't know most of the teachers that stayed on when it became Cherwell.

i met mine through friends, always a good way to go; because then you're really likely to have common interests in my opinion.
 
I actually met my gf back in 2000 via AOL (insert geek comment here)

I was bored one day when i got back from college, and posted a personal ad via AOL personals, not really as an act of desperation or anything, just thought "What have i got to lose" Seems a few weeks later she was browsing with a friend and replied to mine, we got talking, exchanged phone numbers, met up and had a nice day, met up again to go to the cinema 5 days later, and we've been together ever since :D
 
Mine was part of a group of 7 friends who went to college together about 10 years ago. Anyway about 3 years ago or so I started socialising a lot with the two lads (ironically one was a good mate from my pre-teen years... hadn't seen each other in a decade but met up again through a mutual friend) and sometimes the girls would come along. Nothing really happened for a couple of months (in fact she notoriously turned her back on me once when I was trying to talk to her!) but one night she got very drunk and came on to me. She later got someone to give me her number and we've been together for over 2 years now!

One thing we still talk about to this day is the question of whether I would have made a move had she not got drunk and started touching me (not like that you filth!) etc. To be honest without any obvious signals I don't think I would have done. This makes me wonder how many other girls I missed out on other the years because I was looking for the wrong kind of sign rather than just grabbing the bull by the horns and going for it!
 
I have had lots of one nighters and a few proper girlfriends. I can remember pretty much how I met all of them. From the first one proper.

Susan- At school both 15 stayed together for a few years. Split up, went to college made up stayed together till we was 19. She finished with me. :(

Jenny- Sloppy Joes in Derby. Out one night with mates, noticed a pair of eyes looking at over someones head. I bumped into this other girl who I though I was playing tonsil tennis the week before asked her if I knew her. She said "No but my mate does" "shes over there" BONUS.. went over to girl looking at me. Found out after a few beers she had just turned 16 ( I was 21. Stayed together for 3.5 years)

Mandy- Out one night with mates (same ones)Got off with mates missus friend. Stayed together for juts over a year or so.

Claire- Met in pub. Friends with her boyfriend. Out in Sloppy Joes one night came over and snogged me. I said "what about your fella?" she replied "hes in prison" BONUS.. Continued to snog. With her for a year or so.

Helen- Worked in Dewhurst Butchers. Most mornings I used to nip into Siansburys to get us all some breakfast etc. I always seemed to go through the same checkout with same girl working there. plucked up the courage to ask her out. Went out got house had kid.

Carol- Found out at work (Morrisons) that the woman in Personel was asking about me. Did some investigating asked her if it was true she said yes. Went out for sneaky drink on dinner time. Shagged her. Dumped missus. She went to her mums with our kid (NO LECTURES ON THIS PLEASE). Carol moved in and still together with our own home..

I was at uni with her sister. She came to visit and a bunch of us went out in the evening. She got a bit drunk, one thing led to another, 6 years on we're married with a baby daughter.
 
When i first started uni; i remember i first saw her on a thursday in september 2002 on my way to IT101 lol, thought she is nice, saw her in IT and some other lectures a few times then i didnt see her again til feb 2003. She happened to know a guy in my class who i didnt really like but i started talking to him more so as i could get to know her. Later that week met her just coming out of our psych investigation class, for the next 2 weeks or so i "accidently" managed to site beside her in lectures :eek: ;). Few weeks later she moved flat and i helped out and then went round a few days later to help her unpack and that night she kissed me :D

4 years later and i love her to bits :)

i was wareing a classic pure pwnage t-shirt reading '- i pwn n00bs -' in the pub, she walked in, and after a bit of staring in my direction, she came up to me and stated i had a nice shirt on, to which i was a stonished as, she was a girl, and this was a rather geeky blokes top... she knew exactly what it was etc etc... got talking about games :eek: she plays guild wars.. hooked up about a week later after a couple more meetings.



That was nearly 2 years ago... :D
