Well it's been some time since I bought a VA screen but do they still suffer from image retention?
Am I missing something? What's so good about this monitor? It's a large (too large) 2560x1440 75hz screen with colours not as good as IPS.

...Worth remembering that Samsung are working on a 144Hz 31.5" 2560 x 1440 VA panel, too.
Do you happen to have a link with details of that?![]()
Last bullet point here mentions the panel - http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/news_archive/35.htm#panels_update. Not sure of the panel part number yet, but given the models Samsung have shown off so far and where things are headed (high refresh rate) I would expect that a product using this panel may be shown off at CES in Janaury.
Has the Freesync range for this monitor been reported anywhere - ?Hz - 75Hz? and therefore do we know if Low Framerate Compensation will be supported?
People are just hoping HP will make a better quality screens than othersAm I missing something? What's so good about this monitor? It's a large (too large) 2560x1440 75hz screen with colours not as good as IPS.
I personally wouldn't hold my breath much, because its all comes down to panels which are all the same.
For LFC to be supported the minimum would have to be 37Hz or lower. The FreeSync range of this model as reported by AMD is 48 - 75Hz.
