Christ maybe I will keep the G2. I am so torn I don't want janky controller tracking , but as much as I am impressed with the quest 2 (I played E in it last night for a few hrs and it was great). But this is another level. This is a through the lense video with a camera literally shoved inside the headset......

I was going to upgrade my 1080 but I think I'm going to hold out one more generation tbh. Will see how performance is on the G2 but I'm sure it'll do for now.
It has a half resolution mode.... If you struggle at full Res am sure it will be ok at thatI was going to upgrade my 1080 but I think I'm going to hold out one more generation tbh. Will see how performance is on the G2 but I'm sure it'll do for now.

It must be allocated VRAM. HL Alyx runs on 1060. I therefore strongly doubt it needs more than 8gb to run smoothly at high settings.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjIR1wqhOcM
Came Across this video, This guy is benchmarking games with the G2,
The one thing that stands out to me the most is the amount of vram being used, not sure if that is used or allocated vram but maybe my 3080 is about to be but put through a serious test with its 10gb
It was the same with the Index. Mine still works exactly as it did from the day one delivery.
Much more of concern to me than a few dead headsets is that those who have reported issues in the US with connection for example have been put to the back of the order queue for a replacement. That is unacceptable.
