Just confirmed that the UK price for the Touchpad will be £89 for 16GB and £115 for 32GB. Prices will be communicated to resellers this morning and updated on websites by this afternoon.

I so hope you're right :)

Hey :)

I have been following this thread for a while now (since it was created), and have put a touchpad on reserve and collect at a UK store.

If the price goes down, will the price listed when reserved also go down? Thanks :)

Should do yea ... only one way to find out!

I guess so! Well, to be honest if they say it won't go down it doesn't matter - I would just walk away - so they wouldn't get any extra money like they might hope anyway.

Also, it may be worth noting that the 16gb touchpad on amazon.co.uk is still sold and dispatched by Amazon. I thought yesterday both the products were sold by resellers?

Even if they are really cheap, is there any point? Few apps and no support right?

Its still a good price for a web browser / movie player.

Support, if it breaks unlike the USA the retailer is liable for the years warranty, you might not get another but will get your money back.

Plus some skilled people are working on an Android port, and if Ice Cream Sandwich is properly open sourced then it could work very nicely.

Android on it, now we are talking! Will keep an eye. Will the price drop be on all retailers or just one/some? I am guessing we will only have minutes to react?

Pretty much. In the US, online stores were cleared out within minutes of going live. Ones that weren't died under the number of server requests.

Not sure about near all of you, but a few of the big retailers near me and pay when you collect options - I have two 32gb reserved until closing tomorrow.

Have a 16 & 32 reserved to the end of the day at my local Argos, just tried to reserve another one but all 12 in my area are out of stock.

If I buy one today would Argos honour their 30 day money back guarantee at the full price if it were reduced ?
