To see the current (but NOT in stock) prices of the TP at WAE

1) Search for "touchpad"

2) Far left drop down box choose "Stock optional"

3) Left had menu under "Brands" click "View more" and then HP.

The first page of results will show the ex VAT prices of the TPs at:

16Gb = £305.52 + VAT = £366.62
32Gb = £375.55 + VAT = £450.66

I would provide a direct link to the results but don't want to just in case it breaks rules since they do sell other stuff that OCuk sells.

Clicking through to the product pages still show the current message of "Due to exceptional demand, we are currently unable to display this product page..." that has been there since this whole WAE thing started. The prices might change, it might not.

If the price doesn't change, then I can't see them selling any!

What's the betting they will be closed to current Ebay prices than to the current low ones though!

I've given up, going to spend the money upgrading the pc, have already spent £1k(monitor and graphics cards as already mentioned) just need to spend a bit more on a cpu/motherboard/ram/(maybe 128gb crucial m4).

Just heard from a work coworker this morning that he had seen some others posting about WAE. It seems they charge 5% to what ever payment method you submit and then TRY to source the goods you thought you were buying (They dont hold stock) and there is no 100% on getting such said item. Its unknown if you get that 5% back as well if they cant.

Like many others in this thread are saying, it doesn't seem that WAE are worth doing business with!

5% of £100 is, well a fiver!

It's certainly worth the risk if you ask me.....

Yeah well lets see if thats the price first and while you think £5 is small consider it once you have 800 £5 charges

They could stand to make £4000 for basically nothing done. Now thats a scam.

Just got a pre-order in at expansys 1 minute ago. Go go

They say "We have no confirmed lead time for this item - call for more details" but worth a shot

I lose £5. I couldn't care less how many other £5 they get from people tbh.

The possibilities of them scamming people seem quite high, after all the bad press, but there's also a possibility that they will pull through.

If you have had a bad experience with a shop, you want everyone to know about it. If you've been successful, you just accept it and get on with things. There's a chance there's been 90% happy people, but only the 10% unhappy people voice their opinions...

... Doubt it mind you but screw it, I'm desperate :)
