If they do charge us more than Europe excluding taxes it really does indicate that they think that the UK is their most gullible market.

I haven't actually seen any reduced in europe yet though. There was a post about €80 euros or something but amazon germany still have them the same price.

It depends if I'm able to reserve them again once they expire, or if the price gets dropped shortly and I can go and fetch it, etc.

HP Germany had for €99 - I had 5 in my basket but they would only ship to Germany.

I don't believe it. They sell 300,000 units at $99/$150 and now they decide to price higher for the 10k or 20k units we have in the UK? Even if they make $100 per unit more, that's only $2m.

The place selling them for £275 on Amazon sold out, so what incentive is there to drop the price to £100?

There was no reason for HP to sell at $99. They would have sold out at $199 and yet they just wanted to get rid of everything as quickly as possible.

My point is, why are they suddenly concerned about profit maximisation over $2m.

I am well impressed, especially with how easy it is to stream using Air Video and how quick it is and iBooks is a revelation compared to my Sony PRS600.
