Poll: HP TouchPad - $99 in US - any sign of UK drop?

The place selling them for £275 on Amazon sold out, so what incentive is there to drop the price to £100?

This is the whole point as there are too many gullible consumers it seems. They are so impatient that even with a relatively small price reduction they will snap it up.

In most other countries people have actually waited for the tablet to drop to the low price before buying it. The idiots ruin it for everyone as it reduces the incentive for HP to drop the price to similar levels like in other countries.

Most people will have bought at that price because they assume they will get the difference back eventually.

And with the standard of British post/couriers, by the time they've gone through that 3 times (to and from first customer and out again) they'll probably be broken and need to be sent back AGAIN

I don't think it was EVER going to be a fair exchange rate - it isn't for the euro either.

I meant the £89/£119 price points - should about right once you convert and add VAT - even adding £10 on top would be worthwhile
