I don't even mind them letting you order if they don't have any in stock but taking your money 2 days later when they know they don't have stock and not even having any record of taking your money is unacceptable. *Angry face

I had phoned up the afternoon of placing the order aswell and was told that as I had not held an account for 24 hours it wouldnt go though and I would not be charged.

Just hope its not too painful getting the money back.

I don't even know what one you guys are on about, I'm just praying to the shop of Greebo :P

lol, I didn't pray enough to the Greebo deity enough unfortunatley :-(

I wasn't even considering one until I then decided to get a leaving gift for my wife. Now I'll be getting her something much more pricey, as she actually asked me last night how the search for 'her gear' was going lol.

Will call PCWB on lunch and my CC company this evening. What a pain. I read somewhere online that PCWB were asking for the transaction ID from your CC company to be able to cancel it - can't verify this.

I don't understand how they can have no record of taking your money. I can see myself getting angry with them on the phone!

Ah, Heisenberg's credit card this time. You can know the amount of money precisely, but not it's position in the order process.

Haha I like!

Just got off the phone with them again.
wanted to make sure they had my email...it was there but their system doesnt like embedded screenshots so had to resend with them all in a word doc....grrrrrrr.

Next step is for them to use the details to 'flush' the system....what ever that entails. That will then magicaly show the orders on the system so they can then process the refund.

Problem is that the processes of 'flushing' is done by the IT department and if they are anything like the rest of the UK IT community...rather than working they are probably just sat on HUKD site looking for touchpads or on ebay flogging the ones theyve managed to grab themselves :)

More like Schrödinger's order/credit payment.

Even though you can't see it it is both ok and not at the same time....

If you look at it it changes state so you don't know whether to look or not :p

Got email from PCWB saying I wouldn't have been charged (lol) but if I was then I need the transaction ID from my CC company. Should have known better with PCW.

YES!

Two weeks of sleepless nights and several broken keyboards later...
