The eBay market is still around £200 for the 16GB. In terms of value for money do people think this is a good deal, if you want a tablet now, and you missed out? Is it not still competitively priced compared to other tablets?

Personally, if I'd missed out on the £89/£115 deals I'd be sitting tight waiting for the Amazon tab.

I reckon give it a few weeks and they will be loads of 2nd hand ones for sale at £100 as people realise they didn;t actually want/need one and got caught up in the bargain hype.

Hell my gf hasn;t taken the film of hers in case she decides she doesn;t want/need it so I can resell it onwards

You can wait forever with technology, say you just had to do it right now. The 10" Amazon Kindle won't be here until next year, and I'm not so sure it is going to be that amazing either, and it's probably going to be around £200.

Well 2 weeks isn't now, but it's not that far away. But if the market keeps the price at £200 then it's still going to be £200.

Im thinking of getting a touchstone in case i manage to get one of these - is that silly? They are in stock (2 week wait) and i really like the look of them.

To be honest my best bet of getting one is through somebody else at this stage - either someone selling theirs on as 2nd hand, or if anybody can sell at cost (i have a wanted thread up anyway). Or as a last resort the bay at inflated prices. I could always sell the touchstone if i dont manage to get one.

My job means i cannot be sitting infront of a computer continuously mashing F5 in the background :(

Seems a quiet day on the news front....

Well if you want another bitch. ;)

I feel sort of bad but none of my family wanted my 16gb model so put it on the bay & got over £200 so sort of happy.

Don't be, that is what the market is paying. I think it's slightly distasteful that some people bought them for the specific reason of resell, but even then, only talking about a small percentage of total sales.

correct me if im wrong here guys, but is the 16GB model not exactly the same as the 32GB model apart from its cheaper and the obvious 16GB less?

i have noticed it has a USB port, so could you not buy the 16GB model, buy a 16GB USB stick and effectively have the 32GB model, apart from you now have a memory stick sticking out of it?

im just thinking is there any real point to the 32GB model at inflated prices.

I wouldn't be surprised if the percentage of bought-to-sell-ons was actually quite large.

well they would be bought to sell on privately there honestly has not been that many on ebay.

how many have been sold by retailers since the fire sale and now? anybody know? the number being sold on ebay from the UK is in the hundreds, definitely not thousands.

Yep, I meant to say eBay uk sales vs total uk sales. And perhaps small percentage wasn't right, it could be as high as 5-10%. I don't have any numbers but estimating 10-20 thousand perhaps and eBay sales are in the several/few hundred, perhaps a thousand when all done.

Some have also noted that the screen is slightly better on the 16Gb
