Cant see why the Argos delayed deliver to store option wont work if they decide to sell it at the reduced price? Unlikely to reduce it on Monday and then retract it as theyll no doubt make the margin expected while HP absorb the losses - they gain nothing just returning the stock back to HP really...

That's not what I meant. :)

I meant an HP global loss leader "suprise". Sell as many devices as possible for a week or two dirt cheap then hope the numbers add up and they get to the point of "saturation" and plenty of advertising for when they decide to go back on their decision. :p

Good luck all for tomorrow then. I've reserved a couple at different places just in case.

Has there been anything concrete about a price drop tomorrow or is it just rumour?

I spoke with a woman at HP on Saturday and she told me that there would be a price drop early in the week, but she was waiting for details. She told me that I could relax for the weekend - but I have not!

What worries me is that, with all the hype, they may feel that they can get away with less significant discounts. My limit is £150 for either 16 or 32GB. Could not justify more as it is such a punt on the future of webos.

I think that £100/£150 would be fair. Folk always forget that the $99 and $150 deals in the states are exclusive of sales tax and so simply converting $ to £ is never going to be a fair exchange.

I wasnt replying to you - otherwise I would have quoted ;). You just beat me to the submit :p

You people are mad.

Why? Yeah there are a few other £100-150 tablets but they are **** tbh. Hardware and style are just as important as the actual product to me which is why I wouldn't buy a cheap tablet (in fact pretty much any tablet). This on the other hand is a bargain at the (US) prices and there is always likely to be an option to sell it on at a similar price should I not like it or potentially the option to use it to have a play with Windows 8 when it becomes beta, as well as having a play with WebOS and possibly Android.

To be honest though it did fit nicely with a slight misunderstanding of my post.:p

Im getting mine for my parents - perfect tool for them to have web access, email and a glorified picture frame too. They arent computer literate so more likely to get this than a proper laptop. Considering I was looking at the O2 Joggler years ago this is even better solution for similar money...

The O2 Joggler isn't really comparable to this, it's mainly for organising and syncing calendars to several phones, etc.
