I was told the shop price is due to change tomorrow. I didn't have a good enough guarantee about the refund so I left it there. Talk about inflexible customer service! I'm not too bothered as I had another ordered this afternoon. Looks like I will have to buy another birthday present.
 
Well, having lurked here all day while at work(and for a few years on and off for that matter) I thought it only fair to pop on & say thank fuc that's over!! Got 2 from comet eventually despite the continuous disconnects on the payment page. I'm not looking forward to all the catching up at work I have tomorrow.....

Oh and a etailer that sounds like kick a tech is showing over 1000 in stock but no price drop.... good luck to whoever's still tryin ;)
 
Will be a bit annoying if CPW sit on orders until tomorrow and then bounce them if it means people miss the opportunity to pick one up somewhere else in the mean time...
 
Also, with regards to the CPW, you've probably got a higher chance of getting a 32GB one (which is why I went for one) as most folk will go for the 16GB I imagine.

if the CPW over-order figures that were posted earlier are correct then you are right. I dont know why though, the price difference is so small that i'd have thought the 32gb was a no-brainer.
 
Seriously! I work for CPW and was mentioning this to my colleagues literally THIS morning saying that as the US had the price drop, we should be expecting it in the UK soon. Then I work all day and not able to check my e-mails, messages, texts etc...until now, and it's all out of stock! :mad:

Gonna see if I can get one on direct order tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
 
Picked up my reserve and collect from Currys just now, £89 was web only (not collect in store) so price was full price however lady said if the dropped the instore price I brought it back in they would refund the difference. Got 21 days for a full refund either way so it is going to sit unopened until there is movement.

Do we have anything concrete on Comet for tomorrow? Haven't been on the thread since about 5.30. Thanks,
