**HTC HD2 Thread**

Had a look on HotUKDeals and the decently priced 16GB MicroSD HC cards on there all seem to be Class 2.

Had a look around and it says that these are the Classes-to-Speeds

Class 2: 2 MByte/s - 13x
Class 4: 4 MByte/s - 26x
Class 6: 6 MByte/s - 40x

This obviously doesn't include the higher classes that are being released now.

What class cards has everyone here got and what would you recommend the minimum class i should look for, is?

Obviously i would like to pay as little as possible, but anything under around £35 for 16GB seems to be Class 2 :(

May have to sacrifice speed for capacity.

Cheers

Also, i am after a case for it as i used the one that came with the Touch diamond but this time i'd prefer one where the phone is easier to access i.e. a silicon one.

Does anyone have a case like this and what are they like.
Don't really want to leave the screen uncovered to be scratched in my pocket though.

Not sure which way to go, silicon or leather flip case.

Any recommendation on either would be appreciated as i have heard a few stories about a few different ones of each being poor quality.

Cheers :)

I have a £5 leather case that came from Hong Kong. It is very good, although when its closed, there isnt a hole at the bottom for charger or headphones! So when you want to listen to music you have to leave the case flipped open lol (unless you make a hole)

The screen is aparently very sturdy anyway, so shouldnt get scuffed to much. If I get a HD2 ill prob get a screen protector primarily for muck and grubby fingers, and a small silicone case to protect the corners from nocks. Dont want to make the phone any bigger with massive leather cases.

That's the approach i was going to take. Just don't like screen protectors as they seem to always form air bubbles and the like. :(

I am definately finding that the screen is less of a fingerprint magnet with a screen protector on. Bought a cheap silicone case off the bay that came with a free protector, does the job :)

OK, i will go for the silicon one to start off with.

Any ideas on the MicroSD classes? What are the ones you have? Looking to buy them both of the bay now.

Cheers :)

My mate dropped his HTC hero and it smashed the screen like a broken car window, it still works fine. :D Very hard to read texts tho lol.

My contract ends In Feb so I was thinking about getting the HD2 as T-Mobile have some good deals on atm. But I also Seen the Xperia X10 which looks a lot nicer then the HD2 but I dont know If I should wait. HD2 has some good deals atm and I know X10 will be expensive for the first few months :(

Would i be able to put songs i buy from iTunes on to the HD2? And how hard is it?
(as long as the songs aren't DRM protected obviously)

Connnect HD2 via USB cable, select file transfer and the drag and drop to phone. :p

You may even be able to sync iTunes with the HD2 if iTunes allows syncing with non iPod players (you can definately sync the HD2 with other media players).

Wouldn't that impact on the responsiveness of the screen?

I have a Flexishield silicon case for mine, great buy for £13.

I dont really mean thicker. You can get some screen protectors that are 'hard' and dont bend or bubble. They arent really any thicker than the cheaper ones, but the cheap ones that flex are where bubbling comes from.

Would you be able to link to your one or post the name of it as i don't want to get one that seems better but is still just a cheap, poor quality one, please?
