**HTC HD2 Thread**

Battery life today my phone has gone down from 100% to 16% since this morning and wi fi and bluetooth have been turned off. I have had msn signed in all day via wap though. is this right?

I found that with my current phone (HTC Touch Diamond) but ot gradually got better, and i can easily get 3-4 days out of it usually, with normal use, 2-3 with more.

Not sure why it gradually got better. Hopefully it will be the same with the HD2

Can't remember if it was on here or another forum, or i could have made this up :D. But someone said that the battery should get better over time as most modern batteries benefit from being charged at regular intervals, rather than a complete discharge/recharge. Something to do with conditioning the battery, so keep charging when possible with a complete discharge every 3 months.

Also anyone found a decent silicone/gel case for their phone yet. Been looking but hard to tell the quality from an ebay photo.

Would you be able to link to your one or post the name of it as i don't want to get one that seems better but is still just a cheap, poor quality one, please?

Unfortunately I dont have any links as I dont have a HD2 (yet). Im speaking from experience of a number of screen protectors on my PSP and my GF's recent touchscreen phones. The XDA Developers forum (look for "Leo" for the HD2) has an extensive thread for cases for the HD2 and includes a lot of links to places to get screen protectors from, and the views of those who bought them. I havent trawled it much, but I will be going through it if I order a HD2 to ensure I get a decent protector and silicone case. That will probably be your best bet.

Zagg Invisible Shield. You get a nice fitting kit and going by my Colleagues HTC Hero, it makes no difference to the screen.

Phone is on 96% now and and on task manager there is nothing running, wi fi and blue tooth is off. Data connection is set to on in the wireless controls, and phone was charing all night. I will see how it goes today.

I unplugged my phone from charge at 8am.

Listened to an hour of music on the way in to work.

It's been on standby since 9, no bluetooth or wifi and my battery is on 82%.

Standard stuff.

Mine has just arrived.
The touch screen is much better than the Diamond for a start.

Definitely need to get a case though.

Will probably delete the Co-Pilot trial too so i can use it for storage until my new SD card comes.

But, yes, so far i am pleasantly surprised :)

For everybody having battery life issues, you may want to know that when "closing" a program using the 'X' in the top right corner, the program doesn't actually close, it is just minimised.

Look at No.7 on here

P.s. Sorry if this has already been posted.

Still can't decide whether to go for this or wait for the Bravo, the one thing that niggles me with this is the size and the camera housing sticks out much too far, i love a smooth finish to a phone.

I just phoned Vodaphone up as I can get an upgrade. They said "The HTC does'nt pass Quality control at Vodafone.

Anyway, I can buy out of my contract for £67.33 and want to get the htc HD2. Whos got the best deal out their at the moment? also whats the routine for keeping the current number. chap at vodaphone mentioned a PAC code.

Can someone give me any advice?. Thanks

edit - Right as i understand, Buy a new phone which the supplier can accept a PAC code. Then contact vodafone and ask for the PAC code which can take upto 48hours.
Then phone new supplier and give them the PAC code.

Done. am I right?

so whats the best deal? must have around 300 - 600 minutes, not bothered about txts. and must have mobile internet unlimited. To buy the HD2 outright then get a £20 sim only from vodafone? some advice much needed!
