I also have an email related question. I am keen to sync with my pc but I have a rather large PST file as I am a bit of a hoarder when it comes to emails. Do I take it that I would end up with a large pst file on my phone?

You can tell it to download attachments up to a certain size. I'm guessing it would ignore attachments of a larger size.

Sorry for what might be a really thick question but I was under the impression that orange didnt do this phone? I was on mobiles.co.uk and saw they had the HD2 on a 24 month contract, 900mins 500 text and unlimited data with 8months half price line rental. £35p/m works out at just under 30p/m over the term. Is this legit?

Use the exchange account. When you got to setup a new mail account select "Outlook Mail".

I get all my different accounts pulled in to GMail via POP and then pushed via exchange, works fine.

Yes my wife has a 3 sim card and I tried it in my HD2 from Virgin - no problems.

Thanks for the info, I should be able to work it out from the pdf I've found on 1and1's site.
I've had all my pop email accounts forwarded to my exchange account for a year or two now, so all I've got to do now is get the hd2 to pick up mail from there.

How can I set the phone to use my wifi connection to browse the internet?

When 3G is OFF and wifi is connected I cant browse the internet at all, there a way to force this?

Has anyone bought a spare battery for their HD2 yet? Looking at getting one off the bay to keep as a spare for days/weekends away, but unsure exactly what to go for.

Also, any point buying from HK or is it worth spending a little bit more for a UK seller?

You could wait and go for the official extended battery. It does look ugly but I doubt you will notice it poking out the back.

It's on for around £40 sheets from mobilefun.

A friend of mine got a charger the bay and it came with 2 1200mAh batteries. They were so pants he actually gave one to me. I haven't tried them yet tho.

Yeah it sees my wifi network and connects to it fine. But i cant figure out how to force it to use wifi instead of 3g

Even if WM7 looks pants, knowing that your phone is never going to get a OS update should persuade a lot of people to choose a different OS. It has for me anyways.

The biggest issue for hd2 users is going to be the lack of app's that are developed as the developers will be concentrating on wp7 based apps pretty soon!
