Not had anything like that before, I never used those notifications though. Are you running WinMo or Android?
Then Untick "request delivery report" (you don't get charged for them btw)

Actually, thinking about it. They might be the "message successfully sent" messages that HTC included in an update (due to the fact that the phone would randomly stop sending messages - and they'd get stuck in the outbox).
So what you're getting might simply be those notifications.


Is there an issue with the face-book app on windows mobile with this device?

A delivery notification will be sent as a text message and will arrive in your inbox, the sent notification will only appear as a htc/windows notification, the latter is not chargeable afaik.
