HTC HD2 Thread

I have a samsung i900 omnia that I used to do different Roms on and got into a right pickle. I find the stock rom for the HD2 does the job ok, now that I have android I am more than happy to keep using it.

Whats the difference between the android I am using and the one you posted - if everything works I am reluctant to change but will if its worth it

As they can't offer you a phone of the same spec - yes you can ask to cancel, they will twist a bit but it can be done

don't forget, the can I speak to your managerplease. As they are not keeping to their contract. Also ask to take the wildfire but swop it out for a Desire HD in Jan when they get them in

Want this phone real bad but really tempted by the Moto instead at a lot less money (and features mind). Must resist till January.. doubt that will happen lol

Any particular reason why you are still on a stock rom TBird? Custom roms really are the way forward - even if you are not bothered about customising the phone, having more features and making it look much nicer they just make it so much smoother and easier to use compared to the stock rom.

Ta mate. All the downloads want you to register and when I tried using the torrent link my AV went mad flagging a trojan!

Has anyone tried the Darsktone Super RAM Android build? Jesus its lightning fast, basically loads the OS into the RAM (not the nand) so it literally is greased lightning. It has also dramatically improved the battery life for me.

Absolute genius work.

Yah, was testing it last night (now that a lot of the bugs have been fixed).

I just wish the Desire HD ROMs were doable this way, but they're not

Much benefit in speed over the SD card method, is battery life improved much, which ones have you tried?

Speed-wise it's not massively different (although I guess that will depend on what SD based builds you've tried). Battery life is much improved (~4mA on standby).

Just waiting for a squashed Desire HD based build that's not pants

Just trying the MDJ 2.3 gingerbread, seems pretty stable and battery life is much improved, although it does have a few things not working, going to try another.

What is this squashed Desire HD you speak of, is it a stripped out version as we have less ROM?

Im trying to flash a nand rom now as my phone has just gotten replaced. However it is a 3.03 bootloader. Does anyone know if i can flash this?

From the NAND flash FAQ

I have a 3.14 Rom with an SPL 3.03 and cannot install HardSPL 2.08
You must downgrade your Rom to a Rom with an SPL 2.10 or lower in order to install HardSPL 2.08. Try to find a 1.48, 1.66 or 1.72 Rom from your carrier and flash via micro SD Card to downgrade the Rom and SPL, then install HardSPL 2.08 and flash a new Radio to meet the requirements for flashing Magldr. If you cant find a Stock Rom that will flash on your phone then goto *THIS* thread and read on how to create a GoldCard for your micro SD Card. With a GoldCard you will be able to flash ANY Stock Rom without problem.
