***HTC Magic Thread***

What's the monthly charge with this package?

Is £22.50 for the first 8 months then for the rest of the 10 months is £45

Works out over the whole 18 months at £34.72 per month

That is without factoring in the £95 cashback am going to get from quidco and the youatwork scheme.

Not too bad I think.. is way better than what I was paying when I went over my monthly minutes with Three

Just seen mine has been dispatched should get it tomorrow :)

It won't be on sale until the mytouch is out I think, and out here.... :/

Unless it gets international shipping!

If so I'm gonna get one as I gave up trying to make one :p

Got my Magic yesterday and its fantastic! Coming from WinMo it doesnt take much to beat it but everything is just so slick and the amount of good apps is amazing.

One thing that I have noticed while going back through this mammoth thread is that some of the recommended apps on here are not so good now according to the reviews. People seem to be claiming the latest shopysavvy on the market doesnt work and WeatherBug is also taking a slating for its latest build.

Hopfully copilot will hurry up with their Android release.

I would not put much trust into most of the user reviews on the market - many of the people there have really rubbish comments with worse scores for no reason....

Nice one Vodafone. Just sent a email with 400 or so emails CC'd into it saying they have been credited for the web bolt on. :/

It is my main email account too...

Lol, Good that I have now all the email addresses from new Vodafone customers with free internet package, I wonder if I could sell this list to some advertising companies or to O2....

Vodafone, next time you send such an email, put the recipients in the BCC line, thank you!!!

Have a nice day everybody :)

DPA Vodafone. ;)

I use g-backup - backups up sms/mms/pictures/video and call log to your gmail account. Creates labels for each type of media and displays them like email conversations. Not sure there's any way to restore but if it's all in my gmail i don't mind that.

There is a free trial version which lasts for 21 days, then it's a fiver for the full app. There's an app called sms backup which looks very similar but just deals with sms.

Hi guys, been reading this thread for the past two days - looking to see if the Magic was the handset for me.

Saw the HTC Hero today but not too interested (other than multi-touch gestures).

Just a couple of questions:

1. Are Vodafone handsets from dial-a-phone also unlocked?

2. I requested my PAC from O2 yesterday and it was duly texted to me; however I received another - different - PAC this afternoon. Has this happened to anybody else? I ported my number into O2 from Orange, so thought it may be something to do with that.

One begins with GEN, the other begins with CBT - any insights?

Thanks
