HTC Touch Diamond, New Flagship Model...

I think the trick is to be polite, realistic in what you want and be prepared to compromise and if that doesnt work trying rining up again and speak to another advisor.

I told retentions:
I was looking around other providers
I wouldn't consider anything above a 12 month contract as my usage is high and handsets wear out quickly
I knew i could get the same handset free elsewhere

They were helpful, immediately said handset would be free and spent the rest of the time tailoring my package (and saving me more than £10 a month)

Hmm what exactly did you say?
Or what plan were you on before?

Was on an old talk 60 plan - £20 - 60 minutes and 100 texts.

My current contract expired 8 moths ago and have held on before renewing because of lack of decent handsets, have been a customer for over 4 years, bills regularly £35-40 and that was it. Just asked what deal they could offer me to stay with them, advisor came back with £25 18 months and I just asked if any thing they could do with insurance or drop to £20 and he said ok. :)
