** HTC VIVE PRO - UPGRADED WIRELESS VR HEADSET ANNOUNCED **

Thanks so much for this reply. I'll try and get to try out both and see how it goes.
There are also the windows headsets, I have only used a Lenovo explore and I was very surprised at how good the tracking is for a headset that doesn’t use external sensors, and it readily sold for £200 on eBay new, wasn’t a fan of the trackpads on the controllers but I do prefer analogue sticks.

Cant find it anywhere near £200 on ebay ?

My base stations don't see each other until the headset is 'in play'

I guess the 2.0 base stations would resolve this? it's not really a problem just curious.

They are over 5m apart.

That doesn't feel right. Have you enabled the Bluetooth option on them in the SteamVR settings? It sounds as though SteamVR isn't aware of them until the headset picks up the laser scans.

Right then, time for some price speculations ahead of 'VIVE Day' tomorrow.

Many of us correctly guessed the £800 price tag for the Pro, but no one imagined just the HMD. So now HTC are selling a ~£300 bundle add on "We have also seen feedback related to existing accessories prices for 1.0 base stations and controllers. So today we’re announcing the Vive Pro Starter Kit available on Vive.com starting April 5. This bundle pairs the Vive Pro HMD and two Vive 1.0 controllers and two 1.0 base stations for $1099 (USD, regional prices vary)."

So, im guessing that, at the minimum, its £1050 for a VIVE Pro package in the UK tomorrow.

But no one cares about that right? We want a proper package, with knuckles controllers.

So if an add on bundle makes that pair of plastic spoons and old tech trackers ~£300 - then im suggesting they will be adding AT LEAST £50 per new item on top of this. So yeah, Im guessing a 'proper' vive bundle will cost ~£500, then the cost of the HMD which i dont see lowering from its £800 point for at least a year.

£1300 for a 'proper' package vs £1050 now. I think I'll wait.

Vive day was today from this store if you pre ordered. had mine since this morning. Graphics are much better. But i prefer the oculus sweet spot, guess it just takes getting used to like new glasses for the eyes to home in like new glasses ect. Was it worth it. Yes because nothing on the horizon from Oculus, but no, not for the price. but it will do until the CV2 which is still some time away.

Yes stoke has it`s advantages, Overclockers and oatcakes. Not much else. Yes, im on holiday, TBH was not expecting it till tommorow either but got an email this morning so drove in (10 mins) needless to say my day has gone to pot and just been messing with it.
today is the only day of my life that i wished I lived in Stoke on Trent - did you pick it up in store?
