HTC Vive

Anyone got any suggestions for games that work well with only one base station? I'm going through the agony of waiting for a replacement so i've just been playing Audio Shield and VR Pong Waves for the last 2 weeks, any other suggestions for games that you just face one direction would be appreciated.

Guys, this may have been asked before, but only having had a demo at OCUK and read this topic with interest, there is some obvious pixellation/fuzziness to the Vive experience.
If, as they alway do, they improved on this do you think its likely they'd just market a new headset rather than a completely new setup?
I don't think anyone wants to double-dip on something with this price tag.

I imagine it depends on whether the new VIVE also receives new features, beyond a higher resolution panel, that would also require "better" lighthouse units or controllers (as in not just nice to have but actually needed for the functionality to work).

My hope is a new HMD in 1-2 years time followed by a whole new setup in 3-4 (at the same point becoming more mainstream and thus more affordable to all).

Another question:
if Rift had (i know its pretty much available now) roomspace feature on release, which VR solution would you guys opt for?
I've heard people say the Rift has slightly better clarity in each eye?

Roomscale is not available on the rift for the average consumer?

In theory yes but you cannot buy any extra sensors or touch controllers yet, no release date or cost have been given either.

Got mine today, had to move a lot of furniture but was well worth it. Absolutely knackered but was smiling all the time. My flat mate gave it ago too and instantly she was hooked.

I was worried the cable would be an issue but soon got used to it and ended up finding myself jumping all over the place on Space Pirate Trainer :D

Good timing with the steam sale too.

Only issue I'm having is I'm finding the text a bit blurry, even after adjusting the distance between each eye and also adjusting the distance of the lens. Anything else I should be trying?

You can setup supersampling, but will need more GPU power

Steam vr sale this weekend.

Mostly stuff that was available in the steam sale last month, or already on discount. Worth a look for new users though.

ADR1FT just got Vive support and is on sale for half price (£7.50)

Had a quick go last night of thnis, but not enough to perform a proper opinion.
Played the training level, then went into the main game for a minute, I was kneeling when trying it out and as soon as i entered the main game i fell over due to being disorientated in space. Laughed so much it was funny and very weird.

Looking forward to going into space properly and giving it a good try out.

And damn is it atrocious. Worst vive controller support of all time. Instead of a gamepad you have two gamepads to hold in front of you.
Seriously: You could not do it worse.

Controls seemed fine to me.

AS your in zero gravity and in a space suit with thrusters for movement, using both wands to control thrusts in every direction seemed like the right thing to do.

Just tried adrift, did the training fine but in the main game i started to get cold sweats and feeling sick iam very tired after working all day though, will try again tomorrow after a good sleep.
