HTC Vive

Hmm rumours: It's been said that Star Wars the Force Awakens is being released on the 5th of April for DVD/Bluray, now there's a coincidence. It's also been rumoured that Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine is being released to coincide with the release of a aforementioned Bluray. Fingers crossed.

Another snippit of news. A certain adult website (rhymes with corntub) has a new category for VR, with videos filmed in 360 degrees. http://s24.postimg.org/bfakiynjp/image.jpg

Amazon is showing that the Blu-Ray version of The Force Awakens will be available on April 5th, 2016, That has since been taken down. Like I said, just a rumour.

So I'm currently in the process of buying a house that has a 15' by 10' conservatory on the back that we have no furniture or plans for...

:D

Just had my demo in Bolton and really enjoyed it.

Loved the big blue demo :D

The demo guy says the retail one will come with some kind of ceiling pully for the umbilicus, anyone else heard this. Also expects delivery in May.

No ordered yet waiting until reviews after release.

Nothing has been mentioned about a pulley at all, even in the email from HTC containing the entire box contents, so he may be wrong on that one.

You might want to put that in Spoiler tags because of its size :p

But as others have said over on Reddit, just 1 picture of 1 lens doesn't tell the whole story, depending on how much cross over there is between the two lenses. People are saying if they hadn't seen the above picture, they wouldn't have even realised it was that low per eye. People have reported the FOV feels wider than the DK2 and GearVR.

Until we have more reviews of side by side comparisons, I'd take a lot of these reports with a pinch of salt.

Not sure why you think it's low, ~100 Deg FOV was expected.

Better comparison taken from Reddit (so not 100% on the source or accuracy)

Shows the Vive to have (allegedly) the biggest FOV. Rift we already knew had a smaller FOV than DK2.

That's a shame that the CV1 FOV is smaller than the DK2. I found the DK2 to be a little on the small size.
