HTC Vive

I got the cancellation too. Despite priming my bank with the knowledge, and the payment company Digital River pinging a £1 test on it, it's failed. What a total failure of a company.

Has anyone here who is wave 1, and has successfully paid (seems like it may be a small number!) received any dispatch notification yet?

Right so, now that i've had to waste 2hrs because of this.. I'm gonna waste another couple of hours switching banks from First Direct because I have really had it with their overzealous security checks.

Been with them 2years, I get one about once a month at least, not once has there been an issue and i've complained that they need to dial it back a bit but now its gone and messed with something that I really didnt want them messing with, after I called them and said dont mess with it. In the past they have flagged me using the card in my work canteen to buy coffee, in spite of it being A) the same people that pay me, B) a regular pattern every day for at least 12 months prior

I'm thinking maybe lloyds, anyone here with lloyds get their payment blocked?

I have not heard anything, which is why I was a bit worried and checked out if the payment had gone through - which according to my credit card company it has.

So it seems that no news is good news.

But basically, I haven't received any notifications apart from the original confirmation when I placed the order.

Don't go with Santander credit cards for sure. The block everything I buy. I thinking its a way to get rid.of you if you your bill on time lol. They no longer make money through transaction charges apparently.

apparently people are going on to the order site and getting an April shipping date - where they are cancelling orders, the next person to order on the site gets their slot instead of being added to the bottom of the queue

thats just as messed up as the current Oculus mess if its true!

edit; it appears to be true, I just went through the checkout process on the Vive site and it's told me to expect delivery April... the race is on!

So I have not gotten any alerts/cancellation notices yet. I'm in Ireland, my bank is Ulster Bank.
I've contacted them because I could see the amount for the Vive had been reserved out of my balance for the last two days but that reservation has now gone.

Contacting Ulster Bank they tell me they DID NOT REJECT the payment attempted at 12AM, they allowed it but the other party (HTC/DIGITAL RIVER) have messed it up somehow.

I would now contact HTC to sort it but they are closed for the day!

Edit* Oh and my order page doesn't say it has been cancelled yet so huh?

'Vive
Thank you for your HTCVIVE.com order – We will start shipping April 2016'

I am dubious of this being true though :p

You are awesome :D

I ordered 2 weeks ago, and when checking the delivery date it shows 'VIVE Kit - May Shipment - UK'.

I've just ordered again now and the new order shows 'VIVE Kit - April Shipment Part 2- UK'.

I can feel the hype building...

Take no notice of which shipping wave you're in. I've just been informed that it may change based upon stock. I hope that doesn't disappoint anyone.

it sounds even more complicated to design a system that fills in spaces left in a queue with new orders.

I'm confident I'll have my april wave 2 by the end of april.
