Are you able to see a full colour camera feed now? I still have the Tron effect this end after much fiddling and port swapping

Do you get the full colour feed in the small box off of one of your controllers in SteamVR dashboard?

I'm not sure without trying but can you actually get the full colour version to fill your whole view? I'm sure I've only used the "Tron" mode this way, but it's not something I use much of admittedly.
 
Dammit, another shipping wave gone out and I'm still not in it :( FFS HTC, this is getting silly. I ordered 3 minutes after the pre-orders open, and I probably won't receive it in April. :( :(
 
I've been very quiet here since I got it, to be honest just haven't felt the need to post on forums about how much fun it is, instead just enjoying it!

Pity I have so many real world things to do... otherwise I would be on it even more!

I do find that sound pass through is acting a little buggy, and sometimes video playback gets busted if I am using Virtual Desktop... not all the time and trying to trouble shoot. When I have some spare time I'll start writing up more details impressions.

But the early conclusion is.. if you have the cash, get one.

Now we just need some big players to make some games/apps etc and its going to really push it to the next level. For example, in the Lab's Robot repair demo, go up to the sides and really study the detail on the surroundings. It looks incredible, but not all games are pushing that kind of detail yet, probably because they are smaller studios...
 
The large AAA companies are just starting to come out of the wood works now. I seen two announce in the last couple of days. Can't for the life of me remember who it were mind you and am work so can't check my history!

Nearly May so fingers crossed not too much longer to wait. It has turned me into a child again getting impatient for this. Especially seeing my best mate and bro in law playing theirs on steam every evening heh. To add salt into the wound, my bro in law has access to my steam account through friends and family and is playing my games!! :D

That is just plain nasty :)

Everytime my email alert goes off, I get a sense of trepidation.... and then abject sadness...

It just has to be here soon. Although on the plus side it is giving me motivation to finish decorating my bedroom so I can install it in there rather than my computer room.
 
Just an update for those who ordered with Express shipping (or didn't have a choice like me) but actually got the 5 day shipping method. I raised a ticket yesterday and the reply today is that refunds will be issued this week.

VR received, Driver intrigued said it's insured for a lot of money. I said really!? Yeah £24k I say well it's not worth that... We'll it better not be or he's in big trouble. He goes oops I shouldn't of said anything then looks again it's in czech lol. I did say it was a virtual reality headset
 
So been playing with Revive without any luck whatsoever. Anyone got anything to work? every time I drag the executable onto the Reviveinjector executable it just throws up a notification suggesting it cannot run this application without an Oculus rift. Lucky's Tale starts in a window prompting you to connect a headset. Hmm.

EDIT - This assumes allowing free content to work on non-intended devices is OK? If not; apologies and please delete the post!

Yes; with just those options selected I now see the colour image next to the controller after a single tap of the system button. May be worth resetting to defaults and then selecting those two options.
 
I can get that to work. What happened to pre release tech where people were talking about reverse AR? I recall reading about overlaying things like the Alien on your room. I never got the impression they were talking about a tiny screen attached to your stick.
 
Few green pixels on the right lens on dark screen. Not really noticable unless you close your left and focus on it.

I can probably live that, as most experience will be bright, and as I said you really had to go hunting for them. Funny many people say they are in the centre...probably they are more obvious because of the focus.

Very impressed. No idea how I turn the camera on... Done all the tick boxes...but nothing. What button where do you double tap?
