HUB: Intel 13700K vs AMD 7800X3D

Yeap, HT off ecores on is the best for gaming. You can't do that on the 3d cause it will choke on just 8 cores without HT. That's why im eagerly waiting for a single ccd 12core 3d zen. That's going to be nutty.
For some reason SMT works different to HT. I'm not sure why but AMD CPU's on the whole are better with SMT on when gaming.

I'd imagine the 7800x 3d will run better with SMT on than off cause it lacks physical cores. The same way eg an i7 7700k was faster than an i5 7600k. I don't think a 7950x would be better with HT on though, not for games

It works the same way with Intel. I've tried disabling both ecores and SMT and performance tanked in some heavy games / heavy areas of games. A notable example is toms dinner in cyberpunk, my lows dropped from the high 90s to low 70ies in that area. Same with TLOU etc. The only thing that allows us to disable HT is the ecores.

What I've noticed is that the biggest Intel trolls on all forums and IT portals, meaning trolls with the most warnings, strikes, etc., adore Framechaser. The pattern is identical among all trolls of this type. The same thing happens on my local forum; everyone refers to him as the only correct one and doesn't accept anyone else.

Finally, one map where intels lose in lows? :D

Im go if you wanna test
You know it. :D

Vondel map, 1080P basic preset, no DLSS this time Bencher - native 1080P.

Show 0.1%/1% lows, plus average FPS. Bench full round from start to finish. Spectate until The end if you die early on.

Start capturing FPS data once the round begins and the plane appears on screen.

Which card you using? 4090 gets creamed without dlss, thats why I had to use it last time. Im gpu bound even at 1080p :D

Use the 7900 XTX if you have one. If you’ve only got a 4090 use that. I’ve got the best of both worlds so can copy either.
Why would I have a 7900xtx :D

Ok lets go 4090 with DLSS Q basic preset.

Tomorrow ill upload, now it's time to sleep. Can we open a thread or were are we posting?

No, get that DLSS filth off. No sane person uses that in Warzone. 1080P native, 4090 I’ll run the same with my 4090.

That’s fine, the game looks bad enough as it is without making it even worse with using DLSS.
Decided to skip sleeping to test. So, the new map is playing "fine". 180 fps average (mostly gpu bound, card was 98% usage almost always), 1% lows at around 130. Last time we tested 1% lows were at 150-160 but whatever, not a big difference.

So then I decided to go back to Al mazrah. Holy cow, I was stuck at 140 fps averages with 1% lows dropping to 90ies. I remember I was getting close to 270+ FPS on this map, what happened?

I’ll put in the 4090 today and see what I get. Guarantee AMDip guy won’t say anything though.

Using a 7800x3d Intel cant compete with the gaming experience cache does.
a game on intel cpu has to store info on mboard ram, 80ns.
AMD 7800x3d takes 7-8ns.
Intel isnt even in the game for gamers as they cant beat access time like that.
Intel simply can fix a 70ns or so delay.

I never had this type of fluid gaming experience as I do now with the 7800x3d.
