HUB: Intel 13700K vs AMD 7800X3D

Man, you running iCue? Did not expect that from you :D

It increases mem latency by a couple of ns. Remove that crap

Same as Steam, but you can't play without it so, w/e
Yeah I know, it uses about 0.6 - 1% of cpu cycles, and costs at least 1ns in latency but needs must. I’ve got two Corsair commander pro’s installed and connected via two usb ports handling RGB of 9 fans too.

Had similar kind of setup running but I just sold the whole setup with rgbs and whatnot, went to air cooling.

Intel doesn't need AIOs, a small air cooler does fine, so no need :D

I might ditch RGB on my next build for Zen 5 tbf and move to a different AIO, even though performance wise this one is great.

Warzone 2 Season 4 Vondel - 345 Avg FPS 1% lows 196

Warzone 2 Season 4 Al Mazrah - 326 Avg FPS 1% lows 135
On Vondel the best I have is 340 average and 150 1% lows. Hopefully my memory tuned will get me closer to your results.

Edit! I didn’t start my 1% etc in the plane. I’m getting more like 260fps. That is a very great score @LtMatt.

@LtMatt

Here is the video I promised. Didn't test new map but Al Mazrah since it's the worst case scenario. Highlighted CPU power draw with bit white letters, Intel is drawing 500 watts while gaming confirmed :D

EG1. Just for reference, my 3700x gets 120 fps on Al Mazrah, something has gone terribly wrong here

What resolution are you playing?

Yea, last month a patch came out that borked performance on Intel cpus. AMD sponsored game

Was getting around 250-280 fps before on a stock 12900k..

This is before the "patch"

It's not AMD sponsored, it features Nvidia tech (Low latency + boost + DLSS) and AMD tech (CAS + FSR 1/2.). It's not sponsored by either company.

I can tell in that video that you had FSR enabled (or DLSS) without even looking at your settings as there are horrible outlines around the loot boxes and item pickups. :p

Turn that filth off, whichever tech it is. Using image reconstruction in COD/Warzone is Haram.

Also, that map you are running there (Ashika Island) is different to Al Mazrah and much less demanding on the system. I actually get higher FPS on the new map, Vondel, which has just been added in Season 4, than I did on Ashika Island with the 4090.

That map (Ashika Island) is still available to play. So if you want a true comparison, run that map again and compare.

On my setup, performance has not really changed much on Ashika Island from Season 3.

@LtMatt m8 i get no way near what your seeing fps wise even at 1080p and with your config. My 7950x3d is stock and my memory at 6000mhz .
What memory, FCLK and curve optimiser settings are you running? Are they tuned? If not, you'll get less performance than me. :)

Man I was playing the game a lot, there was no point in no map ever that it dropped to 140 frames as it does now on Al Mazrah. I was always at 250+.

Just look for some warzone 2 videos from 6 months ago

Done and found some. Looked back for 13900K videos from around that time and the 1% lows are in the 120-130 range it seems.

No doubting they are worse now with the updates, but they are worse for me too. Looking back at my performance around that time netted 1% lows of 181, but my average FPS were still 325 at 1440P on Al Mazrah.

Just tested Ashika, power draw is up to 70-80w (which is normal in this game, that's what I used to get) but averages are still very low, around 180-190 fps. 1% lows are remarkably high on this one, 155-160.

Anyways, ill try al mazrah on my 6900hs laptop, im pretty confident it will be faster than my 12900k, which is absurd, something has gone terribly wrong there.

Nah, it won't surely. Curious to see your findings though. What CPU is in the laptop?

EDIT - Corrected first video link.
